Sorry to hear that Forty Rod.  I have had good luck and found some real bargains at the Sportsmen's Guide.  They have had a generous return policy.  I have had no problems with them.

I tried to get a metal and plastic electronic shooting gallery for my five year old grandson for Christmas and they told me it was "ILLEGAL" to send it to California.  No such thing.  I checked ten ways fron Sunday and went back and tried again. 
They flat damn lied to me about the law instead of simply saying they preferred not to do business with California buyers.  (They also wouldn't sell it to me and deliver it to the kid in Nevada because I had a Ccalifornia address on my credit card.)

I bought the identical item from another supplier (for abour $6.00 less) located in the same state and had it in my hands in three days.

They followed up with a letter using the same misinformation and sent me a credit voucher for $10.00.  I tore it up and sent it back with the same info you read here.

I don't need anything badly enough to buy from them even if I have to do without.

Nice site Don. I got a bunch of bottles for reenactors some time ago and have them in my shop. Ladies walk by and next thing are in the shop (Gun shop) looking at the antiques we have including the bottles.

When this was posted last month, I remembered a place where I bought some bottles a few years ago.  I didn't think I still had a record of the company, but I just came across the link in my (long) list of "favorites".  I was stocking a laboratory cabinet and looking for 19th C. appearing bottles for the effect.  This company also sells modern containers, but check out the colored glass bottles with cork stoppers or the flip-top bottles.
