Laura Rodriguez celebrated her birthday differently Saturday than most 10 year olds. She put on her jeans and boots, took out her .32-caliber pistol and headed to the Wild West – or a close replica in Fort White.
On Saturday, about 120 shooters of all ages joined Laura in the Fort White Cowboy Cavalry’s ninth annual “Shootout on the Santa Fe” cowboy action shooting competition.
