Janet Harrington

  Lucille (Kling) Strode, 89, died in Morrison, Colorado Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006.  Graveside services were held at Lakeview Memorial Garden of Apostles, October 13, 2006.

 Lucille was the first of two children born to Charles and Blanche Kling of Howard, Kansas.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years Kenneth; and her brother; Melvin Kling.

 Lucille was a survivor of two tornadoes, the first one in 1917 near Howard and the second in 1991 near Wichita, losing her home both times.  Lucille was employed by Beech Aircraft for approximately 20 years, retiring in 1972.
 
Survivors include a daughter D. Colette Wright; a grandson C.S. "Sam" Wright; and two great-grandchildren, Brittany Victoria Wright and Aaron Strode Wright, all of Colorado.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to:  The Kansas Aviation Museum, 2250 George Washington Blvd., Wichita, Kansas 67210.
