LaRita Mae Miller, age 79, a resident of Howard, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas.  She was born on February 17, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Emmet Earl and Bessie Mae (Boice) Tucker.

LaRita was a graduate of Moline High School Class of 1949.  On December 1, 149, LaRita was united in marriage to John William Miller in the Baptist Church in Moline, Kansas.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing the piano.  LaRita ws a member of the Carter-Rader Post #149 Ladies Auxiliary in Howard.

LaRita is survived by her husband, John Miller, of the home; one son, John W. Miller Jr. of Howard, Kansas; one sister, Jean Helmer of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jeremy Miller, Amber Miller, Ashley Miller, Brandi Jones, and Cassandra Jones; and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Robin Haines officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2010  from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Grace Lawn Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to the Carter-Rader Post #149 Ladies Auxiliary and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E.
