I watched the water rising in the rain gauge again this morning.  Two and a half inches from 5:00 to 9:00, more rain is on the way.  Now I am going to go order some books that the Mystery Guild is offering.  Can't get any more exciting than that, can it?

HELP!  I'm talking and I can't shut up!

I came...  I saw...  I had NO idea what was going on...

Listening to our company meetings over conference call and watching the presentation over the internet.  On my couch, in my sweats.  Gotta love technology.  So far, rain hasn't interrupted my satellite internet, so I'm able to keep up.
(shhh, don't tell them I've strayed to take a quick peek around here!)

The rising water was too much excitement so I went to look out another window and what to my wondering eyes should appear?  A small scraggly tailed squirrel scurrying across the back yard carrying 3 pecans.  Three pecans, you ask?  How can a squirrel carry 3 pecans at one time?  Well, they were still hinged together and he was carrying them by the stem and it was about all he could do and still scurry.  I must calm down now so I am going back to watching the water rise.

Getting ready to go home so I can watch the water rise.  The "pond" in my back yard should be real inviting for the lab and the Jack Russell.  They will leap and roll in it and then come running in the back door full speed ahead and track up the entire kitchen.  Just another rainy day.  Good thing I love the rain.

Day two of our nephew's visit.  His wife and I sat in the front yard yesterday and discussed among other things. recipes,-------------- yeah, you heard me, or read me correctly, recipes.  In the end, I went grocery shopping and picked up some things we needed and got the ingredients for her "killer" chicken.  It was good, not great,

Today, the other grandparents are off to Palm Springs for the weekend and so, we will have both granddaughters for the day.  The oldest will go to pre-school in the morning.  My wife has a physical therapy appointment this morning, but the fact that my nephew is here means his wife will be on hand to help me with the babysitting.  They have a 4-year-old boy and a 4-month-old boy.

It sounds like a fun day for all.  Missed my nap yesterday and today doesn't look promising either.  :'(

LOL-----which brings up the philosophical question:  You said, we can sleep when we are dead.-----My question is how do you know you were asleep if you don't wake up?

There is an old story about Bob Hope.  One day he and his wife, Delores, were talking and she asked him, "When you die, where would you like to be buried?"

His answer---------------"Surprise me!"
