It's an insult.......or IS it?

Below we will find a couple definitions each of what a liberal and a conservative is........since both are thrown around like somebody is supposed to curl up and DIE if they are called one or the other or is supposed to be "special" because they SAY they are one or the other just thought it was a topic idea. Personally....I see nothing wrong with being identified as either one if we are using the TRUE definition of either one instead of the opposing parties "VIEW" of the other. So next time I say something somebody doesn't like or if somebody ELSE says something we don't like......before we get to feelin all superior and go throwin words around like they are rocks just stop and think about the TRUE meanings and just call them a stupid SOB since that's what we REALLY mean anyway........

if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."   ~JFK~

what a conservative really is. It is someone who not only talks the talk of a small government, but believes in every aspect of the government being small. I draw the line at calling anyone a conservative who says we do not need to raise taxes or expand medical benefits but at the same time will give the government a blank check to go to war around the world and drive our nation deeper into debt. Wars must be legitimate and they must be funded with extra tax money.

Most conservatives will always falter and allow giant corporate bailouts, semi-socialized medicine, and many other massive government programs as long as "they don't go too far".

The problem today is that their not JFK's liberal..  Liberals today are most associated with communism. The dems now call themselves the progressive party of which its founding was by communists back when communism fell in other countries.  The Progressives/communists got their foot in organizations like Greenpeace, ELF, ALF, and a ton of eco groups and used these groups to forge a wedge into the dem party and gain power in  the party. 

So if their progressive, they are not liberal their socialist/communist.

If one uses JFK's variety one may call me a liberal if one uses the actual definition.

If what y'all consider "liberal" is a socialist/communist whatever then don't EVER call me a liberal. If what y'all consider a conservative is an uptight anal retentive fundamentalist don't EVER call me a conservative.

Goes back to what's been said about labels period......they are just an attempt to either make one feel superior or to make someone ELSE feel INferior.

Think labels are unnecessary myself...........labels are what cause separation and division.  People are going to have to work together to get out of this ridiculous mess we are in.
