The Smallest and the Largest in Kansas

These cities are supposed to be the smallest incorporated cities in Kansas based on the 2000 census.

The smallest is Freeport with a population of six. Located 107 miles west of Howard, Freeport is the smallest incorporated city in the U.S. with a bank. Besides the bank, Freeport has a grain elevator and a church.

The second smallest city is Frederick with a population of 11. Frederick is 170 miles northwest of Howard.

The third smallest city is Oak Hill with a population of 35. Oak Hill is 200 miles north of Howard.

Benedict, at forty miles northeast of Howard, is supposed to be the fourth smallest incorporated city with a population of 103. 

Elk Falls has a population of 112 per the 2000 census and I think it is incorporated. It is billed as the world's largest living ghost town.

Cambridge in Cowley County has a population of 101 but I don't know whether it is incorporated.
