Although I already knew this from being involved with some of these countries some years back with State, I can probably say this is about as close to correct as you can get....Warph

From an email I received this morning:

Below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations records:

* Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time.
* Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time.
* Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time.
* United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time.
* Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time.
* Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time.
* Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time.
* Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time.
* Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time.
* Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time.
* Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
* Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
* Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time.
* Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time.
* Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time.
* India votes against the United States 81% of the time.
* Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time.
* Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time.

US Foreign Aid to those that hate us:
Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.

Jordan votes 71% against the United States and receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

Pakistan votes 75% against the United States receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

India votes 81% against the United States receives $143,699,000 annually

Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes.
Pass it along. Everyone needs to know this. Might even mention it to your congressman, who probably knows it anyway... what a disgrace...

What kinds of things are they voting against us on? If it was aid to Isreal, I could understand, but what else. Jordan and Pakistan didn't used to hate us, neither did Iran. It's a shame that it has changed so much over the years.

India isn't an Islamic or Arab country, for a guy coming from the state department thats a pretty strange error on your part.

Thanks for the post. Warph.  My biggest problem with all this money going out in foreign aid is not so much where it goes although that is important as you point out, is with what they do with it.  I think I have heard in the past when these countries are asked what they are doing with this money, the reply is always the same:  they are providing food and medical care, thank you very much.  It's not like you can get a receipt detailing each expenditure item, at least one that is realistic.  I think that a lot of this money goes for weapons and weapons research.  I don't want to sound like I am an isolationist, but like is stated in the post lets get some of that money to the people in the US that need it.  Why feed an orphan in Pakistan when you can keep a teacher on the job here?  I know it sounds a little cruel, but we should spend our money on us first then them if there is any left.

,Isn't India mostly Hindu?

I am sure Warph realizes that. I think you can almost always find some small bit of error in a post here on the forum. Pointing it out may inform some people of some bit of new information, so it does have some benefit. The big picture is we supply a lot of foreign aid to countries that could be spent here to help us with our problems.

Hey now, let's not start up again. I know Warph didn't originate the post, he just passed it on. The error on India wasn't his doing.
