Thanks, for posting that.  I, for one, enjoyed the picture.  Do you have any idea of when that was taken?  Or when the school building was built?

We found a picture similar to the one posted here on page 46 of the Elk County History Book. From what we understand, is when it was first built, it served as grade school and high school.  Part of it was built in 1886 and later added to.  After the High School was built in 1917, this building was used as the Grade School until 1936.  Beside this picture in the book is another picture of the Howard High School that was built in 1916 (?).  That building was used until 1977.

If those school walls could have talked they'd have plenty of stories to tell on all of us!!

Especially on Ms. T.  She was always a problem at that school.  Now as for Ta Ta, (which is me), I never caused any trouble.  I went to school, came home, went to work, slept, went to school, came home, went to work, slept.  I was never a problem in school.  The walls would say very nice things about that Weyrauch girl.  Yes, the would.
