Thank you all my forum family. I miss not having as much time to spend on here. I just spent the last 5 days with three of my friends in a walk in cabin in the Sierra's outside of Lake Tahoe. We fished for trout, kokanee, and snowshoed all over the place. I felt all of my 48 years at some points, but it was a great birthday present. Thanks for all the good wishes.  I look foreward to spending more time here in the near future. US.

Happy belated Birthday!  Sounds like you had a good one.

Your 48th birthday welcomes you into the beautiful "middle age" era.  This age does not have the casual immaturity of the youth, nor does it have the constant dependency of old age, David.  "Middle age" is when your age starts to show around your middle.  You can also enjoy your 48th birthday, David, in quiet reflection on the almost five decades of a super-duper life.  Rather than focus on bigger events it is the time for you to enjoy the little moments..... like fallen arches, rheumatism, faulty eyesight, the tendency to tell a story to the same person, three or four times and Man... sometimes it's hard to pee and the best one of all.... Man... sometimes it's REALLY hard to pee.

So Happy Birthday, David.... and remember, it won't be long before old.... sorry... OLD 49 comes around.  So let me leave with this piece of advice:  If it weren't for electricity we'd all be watching television by candlelight!  8)

Hope your birthday was a happy one, David!
It truly is "a wonderful life."

Happy Birthday, David Alexander, even though it is a late greeting.
