It looks like John Edwards will definitely no longer be a VP consideration.

Whether true or not about his California hotel run in with his mistress and child, he is probably out.

Waldo, thst shouldn't make a difference, Clinton did worse or at least more perverted acts than that in the OVAL OFFICE. I guess in Clintons case we just wouldn't pick his brand of Cigar for any honors. Clinton's defense would be his twisting of words, " it wasn't me it was the cigar that did". I better sign my name to this one as my wife wouldn't like this subject in a public forum.

Understand you are taking a sarcastic approach.

However, but Clinton was in.

No way Obama would name someone with this type of baggage.

He would be spending all his time justifying his selection and the news media would have a hayday.

Supposedly, one of the scandal sheets has photographs of some type.

I didn't really consider that "MUDSLINGING" the entire topic was in all of the Newsapers and on television in very graphic detail and very graphic wording.

Some time back it was discussed about how newspapers like to sensationalize anything they can get their hands on.  Sells more papers.  Gossip tabloids are a waste of ink far as I'm concerned.  Newscasts are in the same catagory as newspapers, anything for a rating.  Maybe John Edwards has had an affair, maybe not.  WHO CARES ? ? ?  >:(

so true so true.  I reckon someone in the opposition decided John Edwards was about to get considered for the VP position and  decided they needed to dig up some dirt to discredit him.  People reacted just like they hoped.  It worked - but again, that's politics.  Personally I don't think John Edwards was even being considered or that he would accept if asked.  And now I better get out of politics AGAIN. :-\

Anyway Waldo my point was that Clinton had affairs that were made public, Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky and rumors of others while president and before his second term, it didn't keep him from being elected and probably wouldn't hurt John Edwards that much. Not Mud Slinging just making a point.
