Don't you wish you could have a spring break?

I remember that "free" feeling when we started our spring break. I wish I could feel it again!

But with keeping up with an ornery 3-year old, keeping up a house, working, and everything that comes with a farm...I only have a few seconds to think about a spring break.

If you had a spring break, what would you do with that whole week of spare time?

I would be traveling to Galveston, Texas to see the sights that I didn't take in the first time I was there or go to Franklin, NC to dig rubies or go to Arkansas to dig diamonds.

Well, beings that I am in the same boat that you are, I would just lay down and sleep all week.  I have a business to run, 3 girls to care for, a house to keep, farm to help with, and husband to take care off.  It has been so long since I had one of those things called a break.  What is it supposed to be like????  Someone remind me.  I have my children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  If my husband and I go anywhere on the weekend, we make sure it is family orientated.  We don't hire a babysitter very often.  I have only 2 since my youngest who is 2 1/2 was born.  That was to move.

If someone could remind me what a Spring Break is, that would be Great!!

Be careful what you wish for, it will come true.

Enjoy today ladies, soon the youngun's will be gone and you will be tired and retired and
maybe not wishing we were back in the baby  business......but missing it.

I too was overwhelmed when I was raising kids.....but, I would give anything to go back.
We did have good times. But, the days go by so fast and you wondered where it all went.
Today, I want to make a difference.
Here I am Lord, use me!

Oh I don't wish for time away from my family, or for it to go faster. I already miss the "baby" days. Time goes too fast.

I just wish for a week when we could just sit. Sit still for a few days, and relax.

Well, we could all load up with our bikinis and beach towels and head to Padre for Spring Break!  I bet that it would only take part of a day to realize we're GLAD we don't have to worry about keeping such a fit, lean body; or eating only certain foods; or fake-baking to make our skin dark; or strutting our stuff to get people to look at us; or drinking way too much just to fit in...

Nope, my version of spring break is getting out in the yard and getting ready to plant flowers and veggie!
(My, how my tune has changed in 10 short years... I would have given ANYTHING to go to Padre during Spring Break when I was in college!!!)

I think all of our tunes change when we get older!!  I would just like to take off to enjoy my kids some, it seems like with the daycare and stuff all that I ever do for them is disapline them.  What fun is that?

Tobina, I am with you on that one!! I would love to get may yard around here at the daycare, too.  I think that the kids and I just might do that if the weather holds off the rain!!

 ;D ;D ;D
SEND 'EM TO GRANDMA'S!  (Isn't that what they're for?)   ;)

I've got some okra, sweet corn, pepper, and tomato seeds. Should I start them inside or go ahead and put them in the ground? Somebody help me! I'm garden illiterate!

And seeing as how this is my spring break, I'll be planting and playing outside too!

Hey, Devyn; I posted a new topic called "Garden Info" on some stuff I found on the internet.  Didn't want to turn your sunny spring break thread into a "all we ever need to know about garden" thread!  I'm hoping the "been-there's" will fill us both in on some garden wisdom!
