I will not vote for someone who doesn't have the experience to run our country.  A year in congress or eight years as first lady does not count for experience for running our country.  Whether the candidate is white, black, male, female, Republican, Democrat or Third party.  There are candidates that have that experience.  Do the research, listen close to candidates when they talk especially between the lines, and watch their actions (it speaks louder than words).  The person we put in office will face many uphill battles.  Remember the president doesn't run the country the congress does.  The president can veto or sign a law into place and authorize diaster relief or send in the national guard.  To make the change in our country is to vote out the those who are wasting out money. Look to your senators and congressmen.

I am reading these.. but I am just way too emotional where all of  this is concerned, so I will politely stand on the sidelines and hope like hell the duct tape stays on my mouth!  :-X

I just have to put in my two cents worth on  Mr Obama - I will not vote for nor will I ever respect a man who is running for the highest office in this country that will not show the proper respect for our Nations flag.  Check this out: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/anthem.asp

I know there is a lot of mud slinging in the campaign but that video convinced me!

I feel like I must respond to this. It is obvious that all the candidates on the stage are NOT facing the flag like the flag code says we should do. Like Sally, I also was taught to stand when the flag was presented, and it seems only recently that the hand over the heart thing started. Farther down in this article it shows Mr. Obama saluting the flag as well as crossing his heart during presentation. Go figure, I didn't see anything that suggested he REFUSED to salute the flag.

Good, I'm glad to hear that.  Once again we were only shown part of the picture.  Thanks for clearing that up.

I received this from a friend who lives in Illinois.. Here is what he said.:

Having been from Illinois, where I had to live for most of my adult life, here is who Obama is.

He is an Illinois politician (i.e., corrupt, like Daley just not caught yet), a socialist who has leveraged his "work" in the worst parts of Chicago for this political limelight, and the worst parts of Chicago are still just exactly that - the worst - in spite of his earnest efforts, which of course had nothing to do with resolving the real problems in Chicago. He is a student of Saul Alinsky, trained in the streets, and a master of the "move the masses" that Alinsky favors. Obama has an agenda a mile long, of which we only see the tip of the iceberg at this point. He is about as Christian as my easy chair, and his concern for the average Joe about as real as Hitlery's Southern accent.

He is dangerous for what is known of his past and for being from Illinois. He is also, like most of the current candidates, much more dangerous for what we don't know about them, who they have sold out to, who they really represent, what it is they want to do to us (not for us).

That is Barak Obama - in a nutshell.
