Early Day Drilling Rig, Howard Main Street

This picture is labelled on the back "Green Brothers Drilling Rig on the North End of Main Street Howard, Kansas". This would be irene Buffalow's Father and his 2 brothers. I am assuming it was a water well drilling rig.

That is a tremendous size building in the right background.

Waldo, I think I was told that that building was a livery stable in the early days. It was later torn down and Munsingers Maytag/Frigidare store was there when I was a boy.
