In Loving Memory of Donald E. Sullivan

  Donald Eugene Sullivan passed away on Tuesday November 22, 2005 at the Hynes Hospice Center at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS.  He was 75 years of age and a resident of Leon, KS.  Don, or Sully as he was sometimes known, was born on August 11, 1930 at Moline, Kansas to James Arch and Wilma (Brown) Sullivan.  He grew up in the Moline area and graduated from Moline High School in 1948.
  On December 2, 1950, he married Gladys Ann "Pat" Welch at Moline, Kansas.  Don was a devoted husband and father.  They moved to Winfield, Kansas in 1952 and remained these until moving to El Dorado, Kansas in 1960.  He started working in the oil industry shortly after their marriage and founded his own company, Subterranean, Inc. in 1965.  In 1981, they moved to Leon, Kansas and he retired in 1986, but remained active in the operation of the company.  He was preceded in death by his wife on July 26 of this year.
  He is survived by his sons, Jerry and his wife Debbie of Wichita and John and his wife Diane of Andover; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys "Pat" Sullivan, his daughter, Donna Cornish, his parents, one brother and one sister.
  Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2005 at the Moline Cemetery in Moline, Kansas with Rev. Gary Parsons of the Moline United Methodist Church officating.  A memorial has been established with the Hynes Hospice Center at Via Christi,
St. Francis.  Contributions may be left with the funeral home.  The funeral arrangements were made with the Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard.
