Grandma Gladys saved the entire paper from when Guy Morgan and Virginia (Mitchell) Denton were married in 1953.  I plan to post the article about their wedding but what about some of the other items.  Is anyone intersted in what each of the Grade School Classes were doing that week? The paper is filled with little articles that are interesting but would anyone care? Or should I just pick out the marriages, births, deaths etc. ? By the way did you know that the paper was called the Howard Courant-Citizen because there used to be two newspapers (The Courant and The Citizen) that merged in 1942?  That was long before my time.

It was the Courtant-Citizen for so long that's how I think of it.  ;)

As far as how much to post - wow - that's almost got to be your call.

I think someone would find interest in most all the articles. For instance, if what the grade school classes mentions names, someone would find that interesting. Also, anything that mentioned activities that show a different lifestyle would be of interest to someone. (Different stores for different folks, of course  ;) .)

So . . . how much do YOU want to do? should probably be the question.  ???    :-\

Kevin,

I think that anything that has names in it would be of interest.  So, if the school news has names I think that would be interesting.

Of course, it is entirely up to you how much you want to put on.  It's your fingers doing the work.

Thanks for asking, because I have the same problem only 6 times over because I have several newspapers saved from 1934, that I need to go through and put on the forum.  I think articles with names or descriptions of the lifestyle of the time would interesting but you never know what willl be of interest in the future.    Also maybe some scanned copies of the advertising ads would reflect the changing times.  So I think Janet is right let your fingers decide how much you what to put on the forum.
