Ciphfronia Elnora Crismas Speer, eldest daughter of Lewis and Alice Myers, was born near Longton, Kansas, June 1, 1886, and departed this life on January 16, 1961, at her home in Winfield, Kansas, at the age of 74 years, 7 months, and 15 days.  She spent the greater part of her life in the vicinity of Howard, Kansas.  She received a merit certificate to teach.  She was baptized into Christ at an early age.

She was married to Clinton E. Crismas on January 9, 1906, at Howard, Kansas. To this union were born eight children, of which six are surviving.  She and her husband engaged in farming until his death in October of 1828.

She was married to Marion Speer, January 7, 1932.  They lived on farms near Howard and Severy, Kansas, until 1943 when they moved to Winfield, Kansas. Here she spent the remainder of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one brother, George, also her husband Clinton, and two infant sons and one grandchild.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Marion; four sons and two daughters, Everett Crismas, Erie, Kansas; Alva Crismas, Eureka, Kansas; Vernie Crismas, Bakersfield, California; Darrell Crismas, Redwood City, California; Goldia Hinderliter, Waverly, Kansas; Sylvia Carson, El Paso, Texas; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, Jane Murphy, Howard, Kansas; Susie Campbell, Lincoln, California; Lydia Munster, Sacramento, California; Alpha Myers, address unknown; a number of nieces, nephews and friends; five stepchildren, Paul Speer, Winfield; Lulavon Flock, Severy; Aline Benest, Eureka; Lois Clark, Winfield; Mildred Lawman, Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Funeral services were held from the Morris Funeral Home at Winfield, Kansas and the Howard Church of Christ on Friday, January 20, with burial in Grace Lawn cemetery, Howard, Kansas The Rev. Jimmie Bayes of Ponca City, Oklahoma, was in charge.  The casket bearers were six grandsons, Robert Crismas, Richard Crismas, Clinton Crismas. Dale Crismas, Robert Hinderliter and Dale Hinderliter.
