 Everyone knows that I am a bread-aholic.  :)

Well,  I came across the easiest bread recipe that you will ever find. No fail, taste great, looks just like it says it will. I used bread flour and on CasCity ( our other website) they used a  10" dutch oven.
But you can use any heavy deep pan..

Just follow the instructions and don't change anything until you get a few loafs under your belt.

I did make it.  Jim and I ate the entire loaf.  It was very good.  I am now trying it using wheat flour.  I believe it is going to be even better.  I just started it this morning, so will make it on Friday.  Wonderful easy receipe.

I got some in the crock right now.. and in about 24 hours, I'll tell you how it is..
I can't wait!

Bread has been raising and fermenting for 16 hours. ( I wanted a sour dough  taste, so I am going to let it go longer.)
I have punched it down and it is once again setting there doing it's thing..  :D

I have a loaf of bread rising, also.  I took it out of the freezer and put it in a loaf pan.  When it has risen enough, I will put it in the oven.  If I had to make it from scratch, it wouldn't work.

This sounds great.  I plan on using my cast iron dutch ovens and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Kevin, I took a Dutch Oven cooking class here at the Jr. College last fall.  It was quite interesting and fun too!  It was actually a "hands on class".  I have some good recipes from the class--if you are interested, I'll be glad to share.  There's a group here that meets weekly to cook out.  We don't belong, as a lot of the food isn't ideal for our diets, but it was fun & interesting & I plan to adapt some of them so we can use them.

Kevin...
Kjell is a Cowboy Action Shooter. www.cascity.com and  everytime we go to a large champion shoot, they always have a "cosie"..( a period correct cook who cooks all the meals for the camp in cast iron on the campfire. You would just go nuts being around it.
He will have sometime 6-8 things going at once.
It's awesome.
I think I have some pictures of one of the shoots. I will try to get some of these posted.
I am going to use my dutch oven to make this rocket bread... (((by the way.. it is STILL bubbling))
I love sourdough and this will be awesome.. Baking time is tomorrow. I'll take a picture..
