Rance Jacob Bennett entered this world on December 22, 1980 in Fredonia, Kansas, born to parents, Robert "Bobby" and Joan (Wiseman) Bennett.  He left this world on November 26, 2024 near New Town, North Dakota.

Rance attended West Elk High School in Howard, Kansas where he excelled in many areas.  He was well known for his state accomplishments in wrestling for West Elk as well as being a member of the high school football team and a member of the Flint Hills 4-H Club.

Rance went on to build a career in the oil field as a tool pushed for Nabors Drilling and has left a lasting impact on many of his crew members throughout the years.  However, if you were to ask him what his greatest accomplishment in life was, he would proudly answer that it was being blessed to be the father of Ivan Jacob and Teagen Isabelle.  Whether it was buying numerous art supplies or listening to hours of Taylor Swift, he was always ready to be the biggest cheerleader for his children.

Rance was known by many for his loyalty and readiness to be there with a helping hand whenever needed.  Even bigger was his unwavering loyalty to KU basketball, football, and of course, Allen Fieldhouse.  Don't forget, this is the Cowboys year................said every year repeatedly to whomever would listen.

Rance leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Ivan Jacob Bennett and Teagan Isabelle Bennett of Minot, North Dakota; his mother, Joan Bennett of Moline, Kansas; his partner in life, Heather Spence of El Dorado, Kansas; and his four-legged buddies, Udoka and Remy.  He is preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bobby" Bennett, Jr. and grandparents, Robert Sr. and Isabelle (Ward) Bennett and J.C. and Mary Hope (Carter) Wiseman.

Celebration of Life for Rance Bennett will be held at the First Methodist Church in Howard, Kansas, date and time to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rance's name to WEHS Wrestling for their new wrestling room.
