Amelia Kay Wallace, age 82, of Isabel, Kansas and formerly of Sedan and Caney, Kansas, passed away April 13, 2024 at her home.  She was born on November 20, 1941 in Eureka, Kansas to Wayne Woodrow Wilson Lewis and Verna Harriet Amelia (Pearse) Lewis.

Kay graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Kansas.  On September 17, 1960, she married Donnie Gene "Don" Wallace in Sedan, Kansas.  They lived in Sedan and Caney before moving to the farm in Havana, Kansas.  She moved to Isabel in 2016 after her husband passed away on April 25, 2015.  Kay worked for many years as an X-Ray Tech at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma before her retirement.

Kay is survived by her children, Allen Wallace of Peru, Kansas, Donnie Ray (Joyce) Wallace of Dearing, Kansas, Connie (Leroy) Layton of Caney, Kansas, and Taren (Ryan) Laney of Sawyer, Kansas; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie; her parents; Woodrow and Verna Lewis; her sisters, Noreen and Martha; and a grandson, Justin Wallace.

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service was held on April 25, 2024 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan, Kansas.  To leave a message for the family, go to www.dickensfuneral.com.  Dickens Family Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas has been entrusted with arrangements.
