Clarence Edward "Eddie" Hopwood, age 61, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away December 17, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia surrounded by his family.  He was born September 23, 1962 in Bremerton, Washington to Stanley and Ruby Anne (Garrett) Hopwood.

A member of Chicopee Baptist Church, Eddie was retired from the United States Postal Service.

Survivors include his wife, Arline (Rabino) Hopwood; his son, Jacob Hopwood; his daughter, Misty Hopwood; his brothers, Gary Hopwood and Jeff (Cris) Hopwood; and his sisters, Becky (Lynn) Yarbrough and Stana Hopwood.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Ruby (Garrett) Hopwood.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home in Flowery Branch, Georgia.  Entombment will follw at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Clyde Self will officiate.

Eddie Hopwood lived in Howard, Kansas  with his family for several years during his elementary school years.  His mother, Ruby Anne (Garrett) Hopwood grew up in Howard and was the daughter of Clarence and Anne Garrett, longtime Elk County residents.  His dad, Stan, pastored the Howard
Baptist Church for a few years.
