Kenneth Wayne Keen, age 78, of Fall River, Kansas, passed away on August 24, 2023 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.  He was born on August 22, 1945 in Sulphur, Oklahoma, the son of Rufus E. and Vera B. (Rogers) Keen.

After high school, Kenneth joined the United States Army and served in Korea.  He worked various jobs throuhout his life and loved to go riding on motorcycles, of which he owned several different types and styles.  He enjoyed playing pool and darts and going fishing and hunting.

In 1966, Kenneth married Joyce Dean Booker, and to this union were born two children.  They later divorced.  Kenneth spent the next several years with his companion, Dora "Dee" Hackler until her death on January 11, 2015.

Kenneth is survived by two children, Johnny (Christina) Keen of Leon, Kansas and Kiz (Greg) Cox of Port Alto, Texas; five grandchildren, Amanda Holt, Joseph Keen, Danielle Echols, Trace Wagner, and Payton Cox; and seven great-grandchildren.  He as preceded in death by his parents, his companion, Dee; his brother, Johnnie Keen; and three sisters, Linda Collins, Opal Chadic, and Annie Keen.

Cremation has been requested.  A Celebration of Life serivce will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials have been suggested to the Kansas Honor Flight and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com..  Services are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th Street, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
