Shannon Reynolds of Severy, Kansas passed away on February 25, 2023 at her home in Severy at the age of 52.  She was born on June 9, 1970 in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Donna Kay (Overman) Kelley.

Shannon was raised in Iowa and later Kansas, attending school in Madison and Eureka.  On April 2, 1988, she was united in marriage to James Reynolds in Eureka.  They made their home in Oklahoma before returing to Eureka in the late 90s.  When her children were in school, she loved to volunteer in the classroom to further their education.  She had a drive for education and was a voracious reader.  She taught herself to crochet and was often making things for the family.

As the children left home, all her time went to being a grandmother.  She was always there to do crafts and baking with her grandchildren and stayed involved with everything they did.  She later went to work at Flint Oak, first as a dishwasher and then as a housekeeper.

Shannon is survived by her children, Amanda (Luis) Sanchez of Eureka, Kansas, Jakop Reynolds of Eureka, Kansas, and Erika (Broker) Whittaker of Severy, Kansas; her companion, David Manion of Severy, Kansas; five grandchildren, Aven Sanchez, Kinlee Sanchez, Scarlett Whittaker, Forest Whittaker, and Aspen Whittaker; and five siblings, Kevin (Connie) Kelley of Virgil, Kansas, Brett Drake of Omaha, Nebraska, DeeDee Thompson of Florence, South Carolina, Jody Motte of Holton, Kansas, and Robin (Waylon) Stitt of Eureka, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Robert and Sue Kelley; her mother, Donna Kay Brewer; her stepfather, Gary Lee Brewer who played an important role in Shannon's upbringing; her daughter, Natasha Reynolds; and her brother, Andrew Dale Brewer.

Memorial services were held on March 4, 2023 at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka, Kansas with Mr. Judd Everitt officiating.  Cremation has beenn effected, and inurnment will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka, Kasnas.
