Julia Ann "Julie" Rector was born May 2, 1962 in Wheatridge, Colorado, the daughter of Robert and Peggy Sue Ann (Speer) Rector.  She passed away on June 19, 2022 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas. 

Julie graduated from Lawrence High School in 1982 and was a client of Cottonwood, Incorporated for 36 years.  She was an avid Jayhawk sports fan.

Julie is survived by her stepmother, Jan Grohs of Colorado Springs, Colorado and three brothers, Mark Rector of Chicago, Illinois, Jack Rector of Jackson, Colorado, and Jon Scott Rector of Kansas City, Missouri.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Rector and Peggy (Speer) Santee.
 
A Celebration pf Life was held on July 13, 2022 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home and Crematory in  Lawrence, Kasnas with Steve Steinbach officiating.  Burial was held in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  Memorials in Julie's name can be made to Cottonwood, Incorporated through the funeral home at 601 Indiana Street, Lawrence, Kansas 66044.

Julia Rector's mother, Peggy Rector-Santee, grew up in Howard, Kansas and graduated from Howard High School.  Her parents were Bert and Mabel Speer.
