Brian Ball, age 53, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away March 22, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born November 23, 1968 in Auburn, Washington, the son of Ervin "Ray" and Sandra (Wells) Ball. 

Brian was raised in and received his education in Grenola, Kansas and graduated from Central High School in Burden, Kansas in 1987.  He later attended the Bryan Institute in Wichita, Kansas.  He was first employed with Binney & Smith where he worked with his father.  He then started his career as the Information Technology Coordinator for the Kansas Department of Corrections where he remained for over 20 years. 

Brian has two daughters, Hannah and Addison.  He loved being a father.  His daughters made him proud and were most important to him.  When he wasn't working, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, acquiring tattoos, fishing, hunting, drag races, cooking food or smoking meat, golf, and listening to loud rock music.  He also loved Snickerdoodle cookies and will be remembered for telling jokes and giving friends and family a hard time  He will be dearly missed by his Pomeranian, Allie, that he adored.

Survivors include his daughters, Hannah Ball and Dalton York of Arkansas City, Kansas and Addison Ball of Arkansas City, Kansas; his mother, Sandy (Wells) Ball of Winfield, Kansas; his sister, Sheila (Jamie) Krug of Winfield, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.  Brian was preceded in death by his father, Ervin "Ray" Ball and siblings, Rhonda Andes, Terri McBeth, and Tracy Morris.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas.  Private family burial will take place at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Aahn's Place.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.  Miles Funeral Service, Winfield, Kansas has been entrusted with arrangements.

Brian Ball is the son of Sandy (Wells) and the late Ray Ball and the grandson of the late Cleland and Geneva Wells, longtime residents of Howard.
