Christine Rene Taliaferro, age 33, of Neodesha, Kansas, passed away on December 1, 2021.  She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 14, 1988, the daughter of Timothy and Phyllis (Spurrier) Taliaferro.

Christine grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Caney, Kansas.  After receiving her GED, she went to culinary school in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  After graduating from culinary school, she began her career as a chef until various health issues forced her to give up her passion for cooking.

Christine was a member of the Nazarene Church and also attended the First Baptist Church, both in Chanute, Kansas.  In her spare time, she loved to watch movies, watch the Kansas City Chiefs, and spend time with her dog.  Christine will always be remembered for being a sweet, loving, polite, and very tough woman.

Christine is survived by her sister, Haley Shattuck of Independence, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Phyllis, and her grandparents.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at South Lawn Cemetery in Severy, Kansas.  Memorials have been suggested to the First Baptist Church, the Nazarene Church, or the ASPCA.  Contributions may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, Kansas 66720.
