Larkin Richard "Dick" Adams, age 73, of Elk Falls, Kansas, passed away at Ignite Medical Resort in Bartlesvile, Oklhoma on October 6, 2021.  He was born on March 16, 1948 in Winfield, Kansas to Larkin Bernard and Bernice Josephine (Harrington) Adams.

Dick was raised in Elk Falls, Kansas his entire life.  He attended grade school at St. Mary's Catholic School in Moline, Kansas and Elk Falls Grace School.  He then attended Howard High School in Howard, Kansas and graduated from Moline High School with the Class of 1966.  He continued his education at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas and Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.'

Dick found employment with Sunnen Products Company of St. Louis, Missouri, working his way to the role of Regional Sales Manager, putting in over 20 years of service.  During his time with Sunnen, he used his weekends to start a first-generation farming and ranching operation.  Dick also served for 25 years on the Elk County Rural Water Board, and he served a stint as Mayor of Elk Falls, Kansas.

Dick met the love of his life, Linda Gayle Tredway, in high school, and they were united in marriage on August 10, 1984 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas.  The couple was blessed with two sons, Michael Brady and Morgan Bailey.

Dick was an outdoorsman who enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and making his rounds to the coffee shops, and he had a passion for family.  He had a broad knowledge of almost every topic due to his travels and had a universal sense of humor, always joking and laughing.  He certainly make the world a happier place.  A cancer survivor, Dick had a newfound outlook on life and often considered each day an extra gift, most importantly the last 25 years with his family.  He loved being a father and could always be found with at least one of the boys if not both.

Dick's memories will live on with his wife, Linda of the home; sons, Michael Brady Adams of Elk Falls, Kansas and Morgan Bailey Adams and his fiance, Jesica Gallagher; his siblings, Robert "Bob" (Willie) Adams of Elk Falls, Kansas and Alice Brunetti of Modesto, California; his sister-in-law, Sue Adams of Coffeyville, Kansas; and nieces and nephews, Jackie Adams, John Adams, Julie Wolfer, Lauren Jones, Michael Brunetti, David Brunetti, Randee Weldon, and Katrina Stocker.  He now rests with his parents; his brother, John Adams; his brother-in-law, Mario Brunetti; and his friend, Max Kammerlocher.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline Kansas with Father Spencer officiating.  Inurnment will immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Moline.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Longton Free Fair Association, Moline Rodeo Association, or to a fund to be set up for the Dick Adams Memorial Scholarship.  These may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Avenue, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337 which is entrusted with arrangements.
