Howard Courant
October 26, 1916

Frank Sttewart, the youngest son of Mrs. Mary C. Stewart of this city and Miss Alta Morgan of Howard were married by Rev. F. L. Pettet, in the study of the Christian church at Independence, Wednesday, October 18, 1916.

Mr. Stewart has been living in Howard for the past two years doing carpenter work and contracting. He is a splendid young man whom everybody likes.  Mrs. Stewart is a young woman who has lived in and near Howard all of her life and has a host of friends.  These young people start out in life with the best of possibilities and the Reflector joins their many friends in heartiest congratulations.

On Wednesday morning Otis Knabe and Miss Rosa Stewart went to Howard and took the couple to Independence to be married.  They returned in the evening and enjoyed a six o'clock dinner served to Mrs. Stewart and her daughter Mrs. Allen Longfellow of Moline.  They returned to Howard that night. ----Elk Falls Reflector.
