James F. "Jim" Allen, 73, of rural Moline, Kansas and formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away February 16, 2018 at Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma.  He was born on September 6, 1944 to Carl H. and Alice A. (Morrey) Allen.

Jim grew up in the Coffeyville, Kansas where he attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.  On December 27, 1969, he married Marsha Clark at Moline, Kansas.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Caney, Kansas while Jim worked as a Project Engineer on petroleum pipelines throughout the state of Texas.  Following his retirement, he spent most of his time on their farm south of Moline.

Jim was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas.  He was a pilot and enjoyed flying, loved spending time on the farm caring for his cattle, but most of all loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha of the home; one daughter, Sharawn Rose and husband, Eddie of Grove, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Allen of Caney, Kansas; one granddaughter, Kayla Conway and husband, Blake; two great-grandsons, Landon Conway and Cayden Conway; three brothers, Tom Allen and wife, Brenda of Bartonville, Texas, John Allen and wife, Sharon of Hope Mills, North Carolina, and Harry Allen and wife Diana of Floresville, Texas; and two sisters, Mary "Audie" Woody and husband, Jim of rural South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and Anne Logan and husband, David of rural Coffeyville, Kansas.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 with the Rosary being recited at 10:30 s.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas with Father Robert Spencer officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in rural Moline, Kansas.
