Raymond E. Kent, age 78, retired U.S.D. ##259 Building and Grounds Supervisor, died on July 30, 2016.  He was the son of Raymond and Irene Kent.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; son, Scott Kent (Michelle Lay); grandchildren, Alex Kent (Liz) and Andie Kent; great-granddaughter, Penny Kent; and sisters, Sharon Hesske and Joyce Elaine Kent.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Irene Kent, and his brother, Robert Kent.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Brookhaven Baptist Church, 15200 E. Central, Wichita, Kansas.  Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Piedmont Cemetery in Piedmont, Kansas.  A memorial is established with Brookhaven Baptist Church.  Smith Family Mortuaries of Derby, Kansas was in charge of arrangements.
