Barbara J. (Neubecker) Worman, age 84, a resident of Ellinwood, Kansas, passed away on May 26, 2016 at the Ellinwood District Hospital in Ellinwood, Kansas.  She was born on June 10, 1931 in Grenola, Kansas, the daughter of Glen Edward and Hazel Katherine (Eaglin) Neubecker.

Barbara has been a resident of Ellinwood, Kansas since 1950 and was formerly from Winfield, Kansas. She graduated from Winfield High School with the Class of 1949.  She was united in marriage in Ellinwood on June 9, 1950 to Benny E. Worman.  She had been a library aide at the Ellinwood Library.  She belonged to the St. John Lutheran Church and the Grove Park Golf Club of Ellinwood.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Benny of the home; three daughters, Deborah Worman of Ellinwood, Kansas, and Peggy and Monty Enright and Stacey Arehart and Tom Macy, both of Manhattan, Kansas; two brothers, Dwight Neubecker of Ft. Worth, Texas and Dwain Neubecker of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, Scott and Molly Arehart, Benjamin and Shelley Enright, Emily and Ben Johnson, and Mark Arehart; one great-grandchild, Bradleigh Arehart; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Friend.

Funeral services were held on June 1, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, Kansas with Pastor Merlyn Lohrke officiating.  Burial was held in  Lakin Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood, Kansas.  Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, Ellinwood Community Foundation, or Ellinwood EMS in care of Birzer Funeral Home, 214 West Avenue South, Lyons, Kansas 67554.
