This morning's paper mentions that the Elk County General Store had opened a new location on Wabash. This location will house furniture and large appliances. I wonder if this is new or used?

The Howard Pool also received a $1,000 donation from the Legacy Foundation.

Dorothy Tiffany is expanding into where the Dave's Market/Prairie Market/Associated Shippers/Sweet & Spicy  building was, right north of the library.  It will be used furniture and appliances.

It is a Dollar General store. I dont know if someone local is franchising or if it is a company store.

It is on the east side of K-99 from the intersection with Monroe. There was an item in the paper this morning that the store is hooking into the sewer system at the manhole cover location on Monroe.

Here is the location and the manhole cover in the lower part of the photo.

There is some information on the web that Dollar General assistant managers make around $30,000 but can get bonuses and commissions. Most of the sites I read state that the hours run more than 40 per week.

I searched through the Prairie Star and could not find any advertisements, so don't know where they are looking for people.

Waldo, why don't you Move Back to Howard and run for Mayor. You know more about what is Happening in Howard, than anyone else. I would even donate Money to your Campaign Fund. At least you put out more information than anyone else. You could Start a Weekly or Monthly Paper and Call it WALDOS RAG.

I suspect Richard Clark is doing just fine. Same with the county commissioners.

If the majority of the electorate does not like what they are doing, he and they will be voted out.
