What was the original name of Longton?

What was the original name of Howard?

Waldo, I remembered the name Howard City from the Elk County History Book. I wasn't thinking when I was trying to think what Longton and Elk Falls were, that was all in the Elk County History Book. I like your posts like this , both of your Grandparents would really be proud of you  doing this.

There are some folks who hate history and this dislike seems to go back to their school days. There is even a site on Facebook for History Haters.

There are other folks who question the relevance of history—it is gone, it has no significance today. Why can't we look forward and not backward? Why cant we just pay attention to what is happening around us today?
