Maxine Eloise (Gibbons) Clark, 95, passed away January 4, 2015.  Maxine was born in Atlantic, Iowa to Willey and Jennie (Kirk) Gibbons.

The family moved to a farm near Howard, Kansas in 1925.  After graduating from Howard High Schooll in 1937, Maxine attended American Business College in Wichita, Kansas.  She later met Roy Glen Clark, and they married in 1939.  Maxine worked at Beech Aircraft during World War II and then for over twenty years as a secretary at both South Hillside and Sowers Elementary Schools in Wichita.

Following retirement, the couple spent 31 years in Bella Vista, Arkansas where Maxine enjoyed volnteering as a librarian at Bella Vista Library and the Concordia Library.  She returned to Wichita to be near family in May 2012.

Survivors include daughters, Cheryl Elaine McNulty of Redonodo Beach, California and Kimberly Agnew (Brad) of Goddard, Kansas; son, Robert Clark (Toni Miles) of Telluride, Colorado; and grandchildren, Remee, Rhett and Clark McNulty, Seth Clark, and Bryce, Chad, and Drew Agnew as well as seven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her sister, Evelyn (Gibbons) Schul; and her grandson, Kirk McNulty.

A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Avita Senior Living in Wichita, Kansas.  A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Bella Vista Memorial Gardens, Bella Vista, Arkansas.  Memorials have been established with Alzheimer's Association, 1820 E. Douglas, Wichita, Kansas and Concordia Library, 1 Concordia, Drive, Bella Vista, Arkansas 72715.  Tributes may be left at www.dlwichita.com.  Downing & Lahey Mortuary West of Wichita, Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
