Janet Marie (Shipman) Bruton, age 65, of Fredonia, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Fredonia.  She was born May 12, 1948 to Merritt and Irma (Carson) Shipman.  She grew up in Howard, Kansas and graduated from Howard High School.
