Linda Kay Dunkin was born January 5, 1944 in Sedan, Kansas, the daughter of "Shorty" and Dorothy Jones Spurlock.  She passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 in Wichita, Kansas.

Linda graduated from Sedan High School and devoted her life to being the best mother and homemaker.  She was  a lover of nature and all things in it.  She is known by her family as a great shot and holds the record for the biggest buck shot.  She loved to hunt, fish, and garden.  She loved to dance and would never sit out a good song.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.  She will be deeply missed but will remain in the hearts and thoughts of her family and many friends forever. 

Linda is survived by her husband, Jim Dunkin, of the home; sons, Kenneth George Uhls of Sedan, Kansas, Patrick Russel "Russ" Criger and wife, Alicia of Emporia, Kansas, and Marcus John Dunkin of Potwin, Kansas; daughter, Nikki Marlene (Criger) Stowe and husband, Allen of Valley Center, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Spurlock, and a grandson, Carl "Seth" Crumm.

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at the Moline Elementary School in Moline, Kansas on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Myrna Jones officiating and Connie Russell as the vocalist.  Memorial contributions may be made in care of Jim Dunkin to the Linda Dunkin West Elk High School Library Fund.
