Shelley Denise Hayden, 41, of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 25, 20123 at her home.  She was born July 12, 1972 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Vernon and Connie (Juaire) Hughes.

Shelley grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College.  She also attended Pittsburg State University and beauty school in Emporia, Kansas.  She was a nanny for 12 years, taking care of Chase White, Connor White, Ireland White, and Gracen White.  

On March 25, 2001, Shelley married Matt Hayden at Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas.  She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.  She loved children and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Matt Hayden of the home; her father and stepmother, Vernon and Laura Jane Hughes of Coffeyville, Kansas; her mother and stepfather, Connie (Juaire) and Howie Hafner of Independence, Kansas; two sisters, Vonda Donaldson and husband, Jason of Coffeyville, Kansas and her twin sister, Cher Brown of Bucyrus; her stepsister, Lisa Leedom and husband, Chris of Sarasota, Florida; her brother-in-law, Chad Hayden and wife, Stacy of Coffeyville, Kansas; her uncle, Rick Dilli of Independence, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Veronica Chaffin, Chelsea Hughes, Cass Brown, Carmen Brown, Lindsey Hayden, and Drake Hayden; and great-niece, Emma Clark.

A Rosary Vigil Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 408 Willow Street, Coffeyville, Kansas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.,m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2013 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may sign the register book on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Whisper Walk for Ovarian Cancer of Coffeyville Relay for Life.  Contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337 which is charge of arrangements.

Shelley's parents, Vernon Hughes and Connie (Juaire) Hafner, are former residents of Howard and graduated from Howard High School.
