He didn't make it.My brother in law hasn't been well recently, but this was not expected. The EMT's and paramedics worked very hard on him, shocks and everything, and the good people in the ER did too since CPR had been started on Sonny immediately at home. His brother and son in law were there going to do a bit of yard work and planned to play some board gamesand then watch football. Sonny started feeling fuzzy and was having a little trouble breathing. He took a Lasix as ordered, lay across the bed and just stopped.   Very sad.

I am so sorry for the loss of someone so close to you, Diane.  Prayers going up for all of you.

Thank you.It was terrible hearing his address on the fire radio right next to me and knowing I was too far away to do anything. He was a nice person.

I guess my sister must have been up all night as I got an e-mail from her at just before 4:00 this morning. As one could imagine, she is just devastated. Sonny hadn't been well with an odd disease the docs were just getting a handle on. Often called "stiff heart" disease ,it has to do with a blood protein that attacks organs. They thought he had at least two more good years. so sad.

Sonny's obit. was in the Wilmington paper today. Nicely done, but I guess I've been spelling his name wrong all these years. His first name is Colman, or so I thought. The paper had it as Coleman. He had always been Sonny to us. They decided on a simple graveside service Friday morning at New London ( PA.) Methodist, just a short distance up the road from New London Presbyterian where my parents are.

Red do me a favor and please do not ever direct a post to me again. I have never tried to limit anyone's post, Teresa and Kjell are the only ones that can do that. I am quite Sure that Diane was not offended in any way by my posts. I seriously doubt if anyone else on the Forum was offended by it.

Frawin...of course I have not been offended. You don't have a mean bone in your body.
I'm just rather low now thinking about my brother in law, who was a very nice gentle person. He worked for Chrysler for a few years just after his stint in Alaska with the Air Force, and spent the bulk of his career as an operator/mechanic at AirCo. He had only retired a short time ago, so in that regard he and Carol were short changed. So very sad.

Even after all these years I find out new things. Apparently, when BIL Sonny had to have some sort of security clearance for some special project for AirCo, he added the e to his name and had a new Birth Certificate issued. They decided that since his father used the e, that his original Birth Certificate was in error.Interesting. So it really was Coleman after that.
