Need prayer for John Cliver

Johnny is in the hospital in Wichita tonight with a heart attack. At least they believe that he had one appx 9:30 this morning. He is stable at this point, but has some testing that will be done beginning in the morning. Please put him on all your prayer lists. --Ella Cliver

11:12pm Feb 19 
About an hour and a half or so ago I found out that Johnny is going to have a heart cath done sometime tomorrow. One of the levels in a blood test that shows stress on the heart was higher at 7pm than it was at 11am this morning so they are pretty sure that he did actually have a heart attack. Thanks for all your prayers.

If you know John Cliver you will understand this is on top of the cancer and chemo-therapy he has. He has lost 80 pounds since October and is still doing all he can for the Lord..............

Ella is an MS patient..........John has been her legs for ever they say..........and needs our prayers  too. If you are on facebook, follow us there as they both share when they can.

I know they can count on us.

Just had a call from Cardiologist. John had 2 blockages, a 90% and a 70%. Dr put a stint in the 90% and said he now has 0% blockage in that artery. He is doing excellent the doc said. He said they would keep him through tomorrow and whether he goes home Thurs late or Friday morning would depend on how he does through the day tomorrow. I am still stuck in Longton. The doc told me that they were having a whole lot of snow in Wichita -- up to 12 inches -- so it would NOT be safe for me to drive there. So I am staying home. The doctor said John would call when he wakes up enough and all to do so. Thank you Lord Jesus for your intervention. All the praise goes to you.




7:56pm Feb 20 
Talked to John appx 5pm. He was in a lot of pain and still in recovery for at least a couple more hours. But since I was exhausted myself and he was hurting we only talked a few minutes. His spirits do not seem very good, but I can't blame him much for that. He is there all alone with only a TV (which we never watch) and some books that he said he has already read. He's looking at least a stay through tomorrow. Dr. said depending on how he does tomorrow he may release him late tomorrow or Fri morning. Continue to keep us in prayer. I had my 3rd infusion therapy this morning; and this evening I am cooking appx 25 lbs of chicken and stock for our chicken noodle fund raiser Sat nite. So I'll be off of here early tonite and to bed. Thanks to all of you for all your support.

A great day in church this morning. The Spirit moved in the assembly this morning, especially during In His Presence, our prayer time.

We had a good song service in spite of the fact that I messed up a song, and as I said, a great prayer time. Bearing Armor, who sang for us last night - they are kind of a folk duo and quite good, sang this morning and did a great job.

Before the sermon, I shared a number of things planned for the near future. They seemed to be well-received. Then I talked about the duty of members to each other in the church. We have talked about the duties of pastors, elders and deacons. Today I talked about members. We are all members, and, no matter what level of leadership we may be appointed to by God, we owe each other submission and caring. If we do not get that from church, church is worthless. We can worship God at home in a closet by ourselves just as effectively.

The lunch: left-over chicken and noodles. It was good.

As i said, a great morning and in spite of the fact that last night and this morning took a pretty good sized toll on me, it was great.
