Lulu Walter, oldest daughter of P.F. and Elizabeth (Swim) Walter was born December 17, 1873, near Mt. Ayr, Iowa.  The family moved to Kansas when she was nine years old and settled on a farm in the Antioch community, where she resided until her marriage on February 27, 1895 to John T. Morgan.  To this union was born one son, Wilbert Walter Morgan.

They settled on  the farm where she lived at the time of her death, August 9, 1957, at Newton Memorial hospital at Winfield, Kansas, at the age of 83, seven months, and 22 days.

Her husband preceeded her in death on July 27, 1950.

When a young girl she was converted and joined the Antioch church, where she was a faithful member and willing worker in the church and Sunday school, as long as her health permitted.

She wa preceded in death by her father, mother, and four brothers, Alfred, Howard, Clyde, and Dale (Dale was a half-brother).  She is survived by her son, Wilbert, and wife, three grandsons, Robert, Don, of the home, and Francis of Camp Chaffee, Arkansas, and one sister, Minnie Shannon of COtter, Arkansas, one half-brother, Lee Walter of Chautauqua, Kansas, a sister-in-law, Rachel Walter of Zenda, Kansas; a brother-in-law, Dave Morgan, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
