To little too late!!  I don't give a damn about what sheriffs have to say about gun control.  It isn't up to them, nor the government, to tell me what I can and cannot own in regards to firearms.  The second admendment is very clear on the point.  I took an oath to defend the Constitution against enemies both foregin and domestic.  That means I was and am willing to die to uphold that oath, so the cowards that come for my weapons had better be prepared to do the same.  Granted, they may take my weapons once I am dead, but I promise I won't be the only lifeless body on the ground on that day!

Do not expect law enforcement officers to defend your rights, nor should you depend on them to defend your life.  They, as a group, have shown time and again that they are incapable of doing such.

I know that there are some "good" cops out there, but what side are they going to take when it comes down to it?
