Frankly, from what I see out of your posts, I wouldn't let YOU anywhere near a child of mine. A caring teacher, however, would have my permission to punish my child for misbehaving.

Bull, I concur.

Yet, the government schools are full of socialist thinking and teaching.  Why subject American kids to such?  I wouldn't and
I'd encourage everybody to find another way for education.

Try looking at my first post on the thread, though I certainly wasn't looking for an opinion from you ::), merely if anyone knew statistically about any corelation.

You , however answered the question with a stupid question.

O F, there are plenty of ways to get kids to straighten out. ;)
Just inconvenience the parents a few times with a demand parent visit to school for a meeting with the teacher and the principal, and many repeat problem kids will settle down...especially if another set of parents are there defending their child's right to get an education that is being stopped by a misbehaving disruptive child. I've also had parents who came to school and whaled the devil out of their own child for causing them to have to come in to see me.
Those were rare extreme cases of course. I had very few kids who didn't get it. They knew the behavior their parents expected and they lived up to it.
