Conard Eugene "Bud" Riley, 81, a lifelong resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Fredonia Regional Hospital.  He was born December 23, 1930 in Fredonia, Kansas, the son of Earl L. and Beulah (Lincoln) Riley.

Bud was a graduate of Fredonia High School and served in the United States Army.  He was employed by General Portland Cement/Lafarge Corporation for 42 years.  He was a self-taught mechanic and restored many antique bikes.  On October 25, 1973, Bud was united in marriage to Jovannah Sue (Morgan) Kraft in Chanute, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Sue, of the home in Fredonia, Kansas; sons, Michael Kraft of Fredonia, Kansas and David Eugene Kraft of Severy, Kansas; daughters, Diannah Marie Kelley of Chanute, Kansas and Deborah Kaye Sommer of Altoona, Kansas; sister, Virginia Wheaton of Fredonia, Kansas; brother, Richard Riley of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Beulah Riley; brothers, Earl Loyd Riley and Ernest Riley; and sister, Patsy Morris.
