GRENOLA - Margaret Kay Best, 61, formerly of Belle Plaine, died Dec. 2, 2006.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday with family receiving friends from 5-7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with The American Red Cross, 1990 E. Douglas, Wichita, Kan. 67214. Tributes may be viewed at smithfamilymortuaries.com

Best was formerly employed by Boeing Company Avionics as a technician.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Leota Charlet; daughter, Cindy Best and a granddaughter, Tatia Taylor.

Survivors include her husband, Gary; son, Brent, Colorado Springs; daughter, Shelly McDonald, Wichita; brother, Arthur Charlet, Augusta; sisters, Velma Ellenz, Colwich, and Connie Charlet, Wichita; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

(Gary and Margaret Best built a new house in Grenola a few years ago and were living there, I believe, at the time of her death)
