Emperor Obuma: I'm Not Acting Like An Emperor –
WaPo Fact Checker: Yes, You Are

(Emperor Obama last seen jotting down the Washington Post on his list of enemies)

Via Washington Post:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/wp/2014/11/18/obamas-flip-flop-on-using-executive-action-on-illegal-immigration/

Question: Your administration has deported a record high number, 1.5 million, of undocumented immigrants, more than your predecessor. And I know your administration took some steps last year to protect unintended undocumented immigrants from being deported. However many people say those efforts were not enough. What I'd like to know is what you're going to do now, and until the time that immigration reform is passed, to insure that more people aren't being deported and families are not being broken apart.

Emperor Obama:[/b] Well, look Jackie, this is something I've struggled with throughout my presidency. The problem is that you know I'm the president of the United States. I'm not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed, and Congress right now has not changed what I consider to be a broken immigration system. [...]

The Pinocchio Test:
The president has certainly been consistent on this issue—until he saw that the path through Congress was blocked. It's clear from the interviews that the president was not being asked about executive orders that would have provided comprehensive immigration reform, but about specific actions that ended deportations of a subset of illegal immigrants—precisely the type of action he will shortly unveil.

Previously he said that was not possible, using evocative language that he is not a "king" or "the emperor." Apparently he's changed his mind. The president earns an upside-down Pinocchio for his flip-flop.

"George washington said 'We would have a black president when pigs fly!'... well, swine flu!"

Some people collect stamps, others collect sea shells, and I collect notions. Unfortunately, unlike those others, I can't just stick mine in albums or glass jars. I have to stick them in my articles.

First up is illegal immigration. Before Obama or Congress gets around to pulling any stunts, they should enforce the laws already on the books. Nobody is entitled to sneak into our country any more than they have the right to sneak into your house. Anyone caught sneaking in should only be deported after serving a six month stretch in one of those Tent City prisons overseen by Arizona's Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Commen sight in Surprise, AZ

Sheriff Joe's Graduating Class In 2022

Nobody lacking a green card should ever be hired. Anyone caught hiring illegals should be sentenced to the same six month term as illegal aliens, giving them ample time to consider the error of their ways.

Every president of a nation south of our border should be compelled to get the word out to his people that the gravy train has been put in mothballs, and anyone caught trying to sneak into Los Estados Unidos will be shot. If they refuse to get the word out, all future aid from the U.S. will be stopped.

As you may have noticed, in his post-election press conference, Obama announced that our mission in the Middle East is to forge a border between Syria and Iraq, thus once again establishing Iraq's sovereignty. It's a shame that he is so much more concerned with Iraq's sovereignty than he is with our own.

As we saw on November 4th, the Democrats attempt to divide the electorate along racial and gender lines didn't work nearly as well as it has in the past. This is not only a good sign for the GOP, but a better one for America.

When I read that Albert Camus once wrote that "Too many have dispensed with generosity in order to practice charity," I immediately thought of billionaires like Bill Gates, Ted Turner and Warren Buffet, who set up foundations in order to fund left-wing causes, but never consider bestowing huge bonuses on the people whose labor has provided them with their wealth.

I have often had similar thoughts regarding Hollywood big wigs. Some actor who is paid $10 or $20 million to appear in a movie will turn around and, one, condemn capitalism and, two, attend a $35,000-a-plate fundraiser for Barack Obama. What he won't do is donate a couple of million to the members of the crew, blue collar workers to whom $25,000 would be a massive windfall.

Speaking of actors, I don't really have a problem with them taking advantage of their First Amendment rights to sound off on things they know nothing about. However, the hypocrisy of people who make more money in a single year than most folks will earn in a lifetime promoting socialism is extremely annoying, as is the parroting of Al Gore's claptrap about global warming by knuckleheads who never even took high school science. But the First Amendment doesn't distinguish between the wise and the foolish. On the other hand, as John Kindseth recently reminded me, in 1927, when Jack Warner suggested that Warner Brothers finance "The Jazz Singer," promoting it as the first sound movie, his brother Harry very sensibly asked: "Who would want to hear actors talk?"

In the wake of the recent elections, my friend Steve Maikoski asked me who came up with the idea of calling liberal states blue and conservative states red when, historically, red was not only the color closely associated with the Soviet Union, but communists and socialists, alike, were commonly referred to as Reds. It took a while, but then I recalled it was the late Tim Russert, who mis-colored the states during the 2000 election. At the time, I assumed he was colorblind, but perhaps he was merely mischievous or stupid.

Will Rogers was regarded as something of a homespun sage when it came to political commentary. Part of the reason is because, like Bob Hope in the 40s and 50s, he was seen as non-partisan, taking good-natured swipes at both parties. In 2014, those innocent days seem as distant as Mars. America has become so polarized over the past few decades, the differences between Democrats and Republicans are wider and deeper than the Grand Canyon. And, sadly, anyone who says he votes for the man and not the party just sounds like a drooling idiot.

Still I believe that something Will Rogers said back then clearly delineates the difference between the two parties. "I would rather," he said, "be the man who bought the Brooklyn Bridge than the man who sold it." From my perspective, the Democrats are always trying to sell someone a bridge they don't own and, too often, Republicans are the ones pulling out their checkbooks.

Finally, I'd like to pay my respects to Tom Magliozzi, who recently died at the age of 77. For years, he and his brother Ray hosted a radio show I loved called "Car Talk." What made this rather extraordinary is, one, the show was on NPR, the home of everything left-wing and, two, the show consisted of people calling in seeking advice about their cars. Considering that I hate everything associated with the Left and that my disinterest in cars is rivaled only by my disinterest in golf, Brittany Spears and the accordion, my having been a fan astonishes even me.

But the Magliozzis never talked politics, at least not while I was listening, and they were very funny. From personal experience, I know it's pretty easy to get laughs when your subject is Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, or when you're writing dialogue for Hawkeye Pierce or Lou Grant, but being able to get laughs about cars is a rare gift.

But there were times when Tom would expand his subject matter, as when he disclosed the secret of his successful marriage: "I know I'm always right, but it's more important to be happy. So whenever my wife and I disagree, I tell her she's right. As a result, she thinks I'm a big dummy, but she loves me anyway. So I'm happy."

I'll miss Tom, but at least now God will know whom to turn to the next time He needs a good laugh or has trouble with His carburetor.

The School District does not defer to the students, especially when referring to
"One Nation Under God" and changing it to "On Nation Under Allah"
that is blasphemous.
What is wrong with these educated idiots running our schools?
The district should defer to the taxpayer, the people that pay their wages and the voter not to the children.

School Recites Pledge in Arabic,
One Nation Under Allah?
Top Stories

By Todd Starnes

A Colorado high school principal is defending his decision to allow students from a cultural club to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic — and denied that it was attempt to push an Islamic agenda.

Tom Lopez, the principal at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, told Fox News he has received a number of telephone calls and emails from outraged parents – but he stands by his decision.

"These students love this country," he said. "They were not being un-American in trying to do this. They believed they were accentuating the meaning of the words as spoken regularly in English."

The school recites the Pledge of Allegiance once a week and on Monday a member of the Cultural Arms Club led the student body in the Arabic version of the pledge.

The club seeks to "destroy the barriers, embrace the cultures" that exist within the high school.

Danielle Clark, communications director of the Poudre School District, said they understand why parents are upset.

"We understand not everybody would agree with the students' choice," she told Fox News. "We've heard there are some who are upset."

On the other hand, she said she received one email from a person who "thought it was a great thing."

Clark said the cultural club has a history of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in a number of different languages.

"It's not just Arabic," she said.

Last year, the group found itself in a firestorm of controversy after reciting the pledge in Spanish.

"This is a student-initiated and student-led club," Clark  said. "There is no school sponsor or advisor. It doesn't come under the umbrella of the district."

She said the students simply asked the principal permission as a courtesy.

"We deferred to the students because it's their deal," she said.

Club members said they don't understand why there's a controversy.

"No matter what language it's said in, pledging your allegiance to the United States is the same in every language," student Skyler Bowden told The Coloradoan.

But an Arabic translation of the Pledge of Allegiance would have replaced "one nation under God" with "one nation under Allah."

"Obviously in Arabic, you would use the word Allah, but Christian Arabs would use the word Allah," said Ibrahim Hooper, of the Council on American Islamic Relations. "It's not necessarily specific to Islam and Muslims."

Clark said she did not hear the pledge and does not speak Arabic so she could not confirm exactly what words were used.

Some local residents said the pledge should be recited in English. Others wondered if there was another reason involved.

"This is no longer about language," wrote one reader in a letter to the local newspaper. "This is about targeting a group you know will object, intentionally stirring them up under the guise of your opinions on multiculturalism and subjecting your school and community to a divisive issue for absolutely no gain."

Lopez said he's been getting bombarded by all sorts of accusations – one critic even labeled him a traitor.

"They claim they are outraged that this is blaspheming a real major tenet of our patriotism – which in their mind the Pledge of Allegiance is only in English," he said.

He's also been accused of "pushing a Muslim Brotherhood agenda – to push Islam into the school." That's a claim that Lopez denied.

Hooper told Fox News he was dumbfounded by complaints about the Arabic version of the pledge.

"How on earth is it un-American to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in another language," Hooper asked. "It doesn't make sense unless the people complaining are anti-Muslim or anti-middle eastern bigots."

Principal Lopez said he was getting "worn down" by the complaints and the sense of "hate" among some of the critics.

"I've been shocked with prejudicial statements that have been made," he said. " I've been shocked with the lack of seeking understanding. There's definitely suspicion and fear expressed in these people's minds. There's some hate."

But some residents say they feel strongly that the Pledge should be recited in English.

"As a veteran and a friend of a man killed defending these children in their little games they like to play with our pledge, I'm offended," wrote Chris Wells on the Daily Coloradoan. "There are things that we don't mess with – among them are the pledge and our anthem."

"If they wish to adapt the country as their own, then they need to learn the language and start speaking it as their first language," wrote another reader.

Hooper suggested the students could use the incident as a learning "opportunity that there is real intolerance and bigotry out there."

Congress Sues Obuma Over Obumacare

Via Daily Mail:
The House of Representatives, spearheaded by a growing Republican majority, sued the Obama administration on Friday over its implementation of President Barack Obama's health care law, saying he had overstepped his legal authority in carrying out the program.

The case was assigned to Judge Rosemary M. Collyer, who was appointed to her post by President George W. Bush in 2003. The Department of Justice, which will defend the case on behalf of the Treasury and Health and Human Services Departments, has 60 days to file a response.

GOP lawmakers filed the lawsuit in federal district court in Washington the morning after Obama announced unilateral executive actions to expand protections for millions of immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally.

While Republicans complained that Obama had unconstitutionally exceeded his powers with those actions, the suit filed Friday did not address immigration.

AP Calls Obuma A Liar: Fact Check Of Obuma's Speech Reveals "Notable Omissions"
FACT CHECK: Obuma's Claims On Illegal Immigration

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama made some notable omissions Thursday night in his remarks about the unilateral actions he's taking on immigration.
http://bigstory.ap.org/article/67e409ef05374f258391c2519fce6daa/fact-check-obamas-claims-illegal-immigration

A look at his statements and how they compare with the facts:

OBAMA: "It does not grant citizenship, or the right to stay here permanently, or offer the same benefits that citizens receive - only Congress can do that. All we're saying is we're not going to deport you."

THE FACTS: He's saying, and doing, more than that. The changes also will make those covered eligible for work permits, allowing them to be employed in the country legally and compete with citizens and legal residents for better-paying jobs.

___

OBAMA: "Although this summer, there was a brief spike in unaccompanied children being apprehended at our border, the number of such children is now actually lower than it's been in nearly two years."

THE FACTS: The numbers certainly surged this year, but it was more than a "brief spike." The number of unaccompanied children apprehended at the border has been on the rise since the 2011 budget year. That year about 16,000 children were found crossing the border alone. In 2012, the Border Patrol reported more than 24,000 children, followed by more than 38,800 in 2013. In the last budget year, more than 68,361 children were apprehended.

___

OBAMA: "Overall, the number of people trying to cross our border illegally is at its lowest level since the 1970s. Those are the facts."

THE FACTS: Indeed, in the 2014 budget year the Border Patrol made 486,651 arrests of border crossers, among the fewest since the early 1970s. But border arrests have been on the rise since 2011.

The decline in crossings is not purely, or perhaps even primarily, due to the Obama administration. The deep economic recession early in his presidency and the shaky aftermath made the U.S. a less attractive place to come for work. The increase in arrests since 2011 also can be traced in part to the economy — as the recovery improved, more people came in search of opportunity.

___

OBAMA: "When I took office, I committed to fixing this broken immigration system. And I began by doing what I could to secure our borders."

THE FACTS: He overlooked the fact that he promised as a candidate for president in 2008 to have an immigration bill during his first year in office and move forward on it quickly. He never kept that promise to the Latino community.

BREAKING: IRS Says Lois Lerner's 30,000 Missing Emails Have Been Recovered

(Friday afternoon news dump)

Via Washington Examiner:
Up to 30,000 missing emails sent by former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner have been recovered by the IRS inspector general, five months after they were deemed lost forever.

The U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) informed congressional staffers from several committees on Friday that the emails were found among hundreds of "disaster recovery tapes" that were used to back up the IRS email system.

"They just said it took them several weeks and some forensic effort to get these emails off these tapes," a congressional aide told the Washington Examiner.

Committees in the House and Senate are seeking the emails, which they believe could show Lerner was working in concert with Obama administration officials to target conservative and Tea Party groups seeking tax-exempt status before the 2012 presidential election.

FBI Floods Ferguson With 100 Agents Ahead Of Grand Jury Decision

(Holder's shock troops to keep the Ferguson police inline)

Via ABC News:
http://abcnews.go.com/US/fbi-sends-100-agents-ferguson-ahead-grand-jury/story?id=27084669

The FBI has sent about 100 agents to the St. Louis area to help deal with any problems that could arise from the grand jury decision in the police shooting of Ferguson teenager Michael Brown.

In addition to the FBI, other federal agencies have also mobilized staffers to get to St. Louis today, sources told ABC News.

A decision by the grand jury is expected soon, but St. Louis authorities said today that the grand jury is still meeting. The panel will decide whether or not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson for shooting Brown, who was unarmed, on Aug. 9.

Authorities are braced for a recurrence of angry protests that turned violent at times during the summer.

The FBI has ordered its Ferguson contingent to mobilize and arrive in the St. Louis area today. In addition to FBI personnel already in the St. Louis area, about 100 more are being dispatched, law enforcement sources said. Additional FBI personnel have been put on alert so that they could be called in as part of a second emergency wave if necessary, ABC News has learned.

Many Police Families In Ferguson Have Left Town Or Gone Into Hiding After Threats

(Very smart move)

Via Daily Mail:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2844311/Police-families-Ferguson-fear-safety-gone-hiding-left-town-receiving-assault-death-threats.html

The families of many police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, are in hiding or running from town amid death and assault threats.

One police wife told KTVI that she's received threats over the phone and she's been paranoid for her and her young daughter's safety ever since.

'Did they follow me here?' she told the station. 'Did I do a good enough job after work today of taking different routes, on my way home?

Tensions are rising in Ferguson as a grand jury decides whether to charge white Officer Darren Wilson in the August shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown, 18.

In one recent message, a caller says: 'Would you rather hear me coming out, coming out and robbing your house? And it would be like, it'd just be like silence man, you couldn't hear nothing.'

'It's very frightening,' said the police wife, who asked to not be identified.

'Most people who have a family member who's a police officer are very proud of what they do.'

She added: 'This is real and people actually do know how to find us and they do want to harm us.'

Ferguson Schools Cancel All Classes Next Week

(No complaints from the teachers' union)

Via The Hill:
http://thehill.com/homenews/news/225037-schools-to-close-in-ferguson

A school district that includes part of Ferguson, Mo., will cancel classes next week in anticipation of a grand jury decision on whether to indict a police officer for killing an unarmed black teenager, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"With the heightened anxiety and activity, we thought it would be better for students and staff to extend the holiday at this point," Jennings School District superintendent Tiffany Anderson told the paper.

The system had already planned to close schools on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday, so school officials decided to give students the entire week off. That makes it more likely that students will be out of school when a grand jury decision is announced.

Multiple reports have suggested the grand jury will not indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. Wilson, who is white, shot and killed Michael Brown, who was 18 and black, in an incident that sparked large-scale protests and calls to reevaluate how minorities are treated by police officers.

Not Just Ferguson: Protests Scheduled for 83 Cities,
Plus "Direct Action Trainings" Held for Protesters

Everyone knows the government, with its lapdog mainstream media in lockstep, has whipped up the Ferguson situation into a total frenzy.

It doesn't matter what the grand jury decides now.  Fear and anger are very powerful weapons and everyone who has allowed the powers that (shouldn't) be to steer their emotions on this one has taken the bait.

The cops have stocked up on nearly $200k worth of riot gear, less-lethal ammunition and the like.  Ferguson residents have been advised to go get guns because the cops won't be able to protect them all from what's coming.  Firearm sales in the area have skyrocketed.  Everyone is on edge.

Missouri's governor has now preemptively declared a 30-day state of emergency and called out the National Guard.... and the grand jury hasn't even made it's decision yet!

Basically, it's on.

Ferguson, however, is not the only city set to hold protests immediately following the Darren Wilson grand jury announcement.

Actually, they aren't even being referred to as protests anymore.  They are now being called "planned responses."

There is a highly organized, scripted, funded, targeted agenda playing out in Ferguson, and people are basically falling for it.

The list of cities set for these "planned responses" to the Darren Wilson grand jury decision is below.  If you live near one of these things, heads up.

When this all goes down, it's not going to be pretty... which is exactly the way the people ultimately engineering this situation want it.  Can you say "martial law?"
