Obuma: The American Dictator

"The Importance of the Rule of Law"
by William Lafferty

"The main difference between a democracy and a dictatorship is that democracies operate by rule of law and dictatorships operate by fiat of the dictator.  There is no rule of law in a dictatorship, and there are no dictators in a state governed by the rule of law." [/color

This is a distinction that most Americans don't regard with interest.  They have that much in common with President Obama.  He doesn't have any interest in it either.

In 2013, the Obama administration ignored Obamacare's requirement that businesses over 50 employees offer health insurance or pay fines and postponed the requirement until 2015.  Now the Obama administration, again without any authority in the law, has modified the requirements of the act to exempt firms with 50 – 99 employees from the requirement to offer insurance until 2016.  Firms with 100 or more employees now need insure only 70% in 2015 and 95% in 2016 and beyond.  This is in clear violation of the law, which requires 100%.

It is the President's job to execute the laws and Congress's job to write them.  Obama has collapsed the two into one.  He executes the laws and re-writes them in the process.  Obama's acts plainly violate the separation of powers doctrine and are unconstitutional.

Notice how easy it is to slip from decision-making by 535 congressmen and senators into decision-making by one man, who, because he substitutes his own ideas for the requirements of the law, is by definition a dictator.

The separation of powers doctrine is supposed to protect us from the rise of dictators.  It is the system of government in which the three branches of our government, the executive, the judicial, and the legislative, each have defined and limited powers.  If the president goes nuts, the other two branches are supposed to rein him in.  And the same applies to the other branches.  But no one is reining Obama in, nor could they, for his practice has simply been to ignore them.

Although the framers of our constitution were undoubtedly geniuses and were able to create the world's most successful, stable government, even they could not create a system that is immune to bad faith.  Obama, the "constitutional scholar," must know his acts threaten the stability of the nation, and yet he commits them.

What's worse, his malfeasance is not benign or inadvertent.  His purpose in exceeding his presidential authority, in postponing the law's requirements, is to rig the 2014 elections by postponing Obamacare's negative impact on 74 million voters until well beyond the election.

So here we have a president ignoring mandates (not options) found in his own law because he fears that if he does not postpone the implementation of the law, enough voters will be negatively impacted to cause his party to lose the election.  Obama's conduct is, in my view, an impeachable offense.  If presidents were allowed to selectively enforce laws, i.e., to abridge the separation of powers doctrine, in order to win elections, our present form of government would have collapsed long ago.

Republican lawmakers believe they cannot seek redress in the courts because they have no standing to sue since they are not directly affected by what they complain about, a requirement of any lawsuit.  Another requirement of lawsuits in general is that the plaintiff must be harmed by what the defendant   has done.

It is difficult to understand how lawmakers who participated in voting on Obamacare are not affected by Obama's unilateral manipulation of the law, and it is hard to see how rigging an election is not harm to lawmakers and the public at large.

Obama's lasting legacy will be that he has created the blueprint for turning our republic into a dictatorship.  What he has orchestrated may not work in all republics at all times, but it works beautifully in ours at this time because of public apathy, Congressional corruption and a myopic judiciary.

As Obama continues ignoring the constitutional mandates of his office, there is likely to be little notice taken.  No shots will be fired.  No one will be imprisoned.   Armies will not revolt.  Laws will simply be ignored, at first in small ways, and then in large ways.  At that point, laws will be a thing of the past.   Dictatorship will have arrived and there will no longer be an opportunity to say we disagree.

The rule of law is all that separates us from dictatorship.  Once we no longer have that, we no longer have democracy or a republic.  That is the importance of the rule of law.

"Biden says the future is so bright for Democrats, he's got to wear shades"

(Pep talk, Joltin' Joe style)

WASHINGTON – http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/feb/14/joe-biden-tells-democrats-sun-will-come-out-tomorr/#.Uv4siruHBwU.twitter

Vice President Joseph R. Biden gave an election-year pep talk to House Democrats Friday, saying their political prospects in the fall will look brighter than they do right now.

"Between now and November is three political lifetimes," Mr. Biden said at the Democrats' annual retreat on Maryland's Eastern Shore. "I can't imagine our prospects being viewed by the press and everyone else as being a whole hell of a lot brighter by the time we turn to September than now."

Mr. Biden said "even with all the difficulties you're facing now with the [Affordable Care Act], 55 percent of the American people don't want to see it repealed." He said the public sides with Democrats on issues that affect the middle class.

"They are with us," Mr. Biden said. "Let's go out and make every single effort not just to defend, but to aggressively push our agenda. I'm optimistic about America's prospects, and I'm optimistic about our prospects. So keep your eye on the ball."

The vice president also seemed to acknowledge that some Democratic incumbents don't want him or President Obama campaigning for them this year. He recalled the comment made to him by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman James Eastland, a conservative Democrat from Mississippi, when he offered to help Mr. Biden run for re-election in Delaware in the 1970s.

"He said I'll come to Delaware and campaign for you or against you, whichever will help the most," Mr. Biden said.

The vice president told the assembled Democrats, "The president has committed, and you know me too tell, I'm fully committed, to put in every effort we can to be of help to any of you."

Then Mr. Biden laughed as he thanked Rep. Steve Israel of New York, chairman of the House Democrats' campaign arm, "for being so helpful and directing me where he wants me to go." Some Democrats have expressed the wish openly that they don't want Mr. Obama to campaign for them.

Mr. Biden also criticized the GOP as disorganized and unable to lead in Washington.

"There isn't a Republican Party," Mr. Biden said. "I wish there was a Republican Party. I wish there was one person you could sit across the table from and make a deal. Look at the response of the State of the Union — what were there, three or four?"

LA COP WHO MURDERED KELLY THOMAS
FORCED TO LEAVE RESTAURANT BY PATRONS

February 15, 2014 By 21wire

WARNING: GRAPHIC AND EXPLICIT IMAGES

21st Century Wire says...

If you haven't seen the tragic story of Kelly Thomas, the story below will get you up to speed...

Thomas, a young white homeless man with mental health issues was singled out by LA police in Fullerton, and then beaten to death by at least 4 officers in what appeared to be a sports outing for the police. The police were then allowed to walk away from the incident freely, following a slanted court ruling in their favour.

Unfortunately, the US mainstream media and political landscape is such that pundits and politicians only react to these types of events if there is a white on black racial element – otherwise it's back page news.

In terms of the outcome, this incident was much worse than the famous Rodney King Incident in 1992 which eventually ended in mass riots and street violence right across Los Angeles, because unlike King, Thomas was pronounced dead shortly after his beating. Sadly, America's race-baiting institutions do not recognize the value of Thomas's life on par with that of a victim of colour like Rodney King, or more recently, Trayvon Martin – because there is much less political capital and sensational ratings to be squeezed out of a Thomas murder than a King beating, or a Martin death. Like it or not, that is simply the way media and politics operate in America today.

The establishment loathe individuals like Kelly Thomas in America because, as a homeless person, he does not fit into a recognizable political compartment, or entitlement program, therefore he a simply persona non grata. The police were allowed to get away with murder in this case, in order to send a clear message to other homeless individuals in America: you are subhuman, you have no rights – and can be disposed of at any time by government sanctioned violence.

Of course, in the end, the establishment let its own off the hook of justice, but at least millions of Americans are now aware of just corrupt law enforcement and the judiciary are..

The video footage of Thomas's beating and murder is as horrific as anything you will see. There is clearly a problem with police in Southern California, and one which is constantly being brushed over and covered-up...

Radiation From Fukushima Is Affecting The West Coast
By Michael Snyder, on December 31st, 2013

The west coast of the United States is being absolutely fried by radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster, and the mainstream media is not telling us the truth about this.  What you are about to see is a collection of evidence that is quite startling.  Taken collectively, this body of evidence shows that nuclear radiation from Fukushima is affecting sea life in the Pacific Ocean and animal life along the west coast of North America in some extraordinary ways.  But the mainstream media continues to insist that we don't have a thing to worry about.  The mainstream media continues to insist that radiation levels in the Pacific and along the west coast are perfectly safe.  Are they lying to us?  Evaluate the evidence compiled below and come to your own conclusions...

#1 Independent researchers have measured alarmingly high levels of radiation on the beaches of the west coast.  For example, the video posted below was taken on December 23rd, 2013 at Pacifica State Beach.  As you can see in this video, radiation levels near the water are up to five times higher than normal background radiation...

#2 According to Oceanus Magazine, the total amount of cesium-137 that has been released into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima is 10,000 to 100,000 times greater than the amount released into the oceans by the Chernobyl disaster or by the atmospheric nuclear weapons tests of the 1960s.

#3 Former MSNBC host Cenk Uygur has admitted that while he was at MSNBC he was instructed not to warn the public about the radiation coming from Fukushima...

"I was on MSNBC at the time when this happened, I said, "Don't trust what the Japanese government is saying, they'll say trust what the electric power company is saying. Go, go, go, get outta there. Get as far away from that plant as you can. It's literally a core meltdown." And they always don't want people to panic, so they were always like, "Oh it's going to be okay." [...] I'm like, "You're crazy man, don't be anywhere near that reactor." And I remember at the time, of course not at The Young Turks, but on cable news, people were like, "Hey Cenk, you know, I don't know that you want to say that, because the official government position is that it's safe." Oh, is that the official government position? Now go explain that to the people who served on the USS Ronald Reagan."

#4 71 U.S. sailors who assisted with the initial Fukushima relief efforts have developed serious diseases such as testicular cancer, thyroid cancer, Leukemia, "unremitting gynecological bleeding" and brain tumors since that time as a result of exposure to radiation coming from Fukushima.

#5 Something is causing starfish all along the west coast of the United States to literally disintegrate into piles of "white goo"...

Researchers say nuclear pollution from the 2011 earthquake in Japan that damaged the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant could be partially to blame for a disease wiping out starfish along the West Coast.

Dr. Peter Raimondi of the University of Santa Cruz says something is making starfish susceptible to whats believed to be a bacteria coined "Wasting Disease." It essentially disintegrate the marine invertebrates into a white goo, after the starfish loses its legs.

#6 Bald eagles are dying in unprecedented numbers in Utah, and nobody can figure out why this is happening...

Bald eagles are dying in Utah — 20 in the past few weeks alone — and nobody can figure out why. Hundreds of the majestic birds — many with wing spans of 7 feet or more — migrate here each winter, gathering along the Great Salt Lake and feasting on carp and other fish that swim in the nearby freshwater bays.

Earlier this month, however, hunters and farmers across five counties in northern and central Utah began finding the normally skittish raptors lying listless on the ground. Many suffered from seizures, head tremors and paralysis in the legs, feet and wings.

#7 Huge numbers of dead birds are dropping dead and washing up along the coastlines of Alaska.  It is being reported that many of the carcases of the dead birds are "broken open and bleeding".

#8 The recent deaths of thousands of birds in Oregon is absolutely baffling scientists.

#9 Something is causing large numbers of seals and walruses up in Alaska to lose hair and develop "oozing sores".

#10 Substantial numbers of polar bears along the coast of Alaska are suffering from fur loss and open sores.

#11 There is an epidemic of sea lion deaths along the California coastline.

#12 The population of sockeye salmon along the coastlines of Alaska is at a "historic low".

#13 Something is causing Pacific herring to bleed from their gills, bellies and eyeballs.

#14 Dangerous levels of cesium-137 have been discovered in mushrooms and berries grown along the west coast.

#15 According to an absolutely shocking report put out by the National Academy of Sciences, it has been proven that Pacific Bluefin tuna have transported radioactive material "across the entire North Pacific Ocean"...

"We report unequivocal evidence that Pacific Bluefin tuna, Thunnus orientalis, transported Fukushima-derived radionuclides across the entire North Pacific Ocean."

#16 Something seems to be causing a substantial spike in the death rate for killer whales living off of the coast of British Columbia.

#17 Experts have found very high levels of cesium-137 in plankton living in the waters of the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the west coast.

#18 One test in California found that 15 out of 15 Bluefin tuna were contaminated with radiation from Fukushima.

#19 Back in 2012, the Vancouver Sun reported that cesium-137 was being found in a very high percentage of the fish that Japan was selling to Canada...

• 73 percent of the mackerel

• 91 percent of the halibut

• 92 percent of the sardines

• 93 percent of the tuna and eel

• 94 percent of the cod and anchovies

• 100 percent of the carp, seaweed, shark and monkfish

#20 An EU-funded study concluded that Fukushima released up to 210 quadrillion becquerels of cesium-137 into the atmosphere.

#21 One very experienced Australian adventurer has stated that he felt as though "the ocean itself was dead" as he journeyed from Japan to San Francisco recently...

The next leg of the long voyage was from Osaka to San Francisco and for most of that trip the desolation was tinged with nauseous horror and a degree of fear.

"After we left Japan, it felt as if the ocean itself was dead," Macfadyen said.

"We hardly saw any living things. We saw one whale, sort of rolling helplessly on the surface with what looked like a big tumour on its head. It was pretty sickening.

"I've done a lot of miles on the ocean in my life and I'm used to seeing turtles, dolphins, sharks and big flurries of feeding birds. But this time, for 3000 nautical miles there was nothing alive to be seen."

In place of the missing life was garbage in astounding volumes.

"Part of it was the aftermath of the tsunami that hit Japan a couple of years ago. The wave came in over the land, picked up an unbelievable load of stuff and carried it out to sea. And it's still out there, everywhere you look."

#22 It is being projected that the radioactivity of coastal waters off the U.S. west coast could double over the next five to six years.

#23 The deputy chairman of Russia's State Duma Committee for Natural Resources, Maxim Shingarkin, says that seafood captured off the northwest coast of the United States is so radioactive that it represents a "danger for mankind"...

"Currents in the world ocean are so structured that the areas of seafood capture near the U.S. northwest coast are more likely to contain radioactive nuclides than even the Sea of Okhotsk, which is much closer to Japan. These products are the main danger for mankind because they can find their way to people's tables on a massive scale."

#24 According to one recent scientific report, radiation from Fukushima could affect our seafood for "many generations" and ultimately kill more than a million people...

This cycle will last for many generations, because of the food chain of fish and other marine fauna, and the radioactivity will be recycled and in fact the meat content will increase rather than decreasing by decay. Even if only one one-hundredth of the radioactivity (more than 1e15 Bq of CS137) were to enter this recirculation pattern, the collective whole body ingestion dose over many generations would exceed 1e7 Sv, sufficient to kill more than 1,000,000 people.

#25 The Japanese government has estimated that approximately 300 tons of highly radioactive water is pouring into the Pacific Ocean from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear facility every single day.

#26 A senior researcher of marine chemistry at the Japan Meteorological Agency's Meteorological Research Institute says that "30 billion becquerels of radioactive cesium and 30 billion becquerels of radioactive strontium" are being released into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima every single day.

#27 According to Tepco, a total of somewhere between 20 trillion and 40 trillion becquerels of radioactive tritium have gotten into the Pacific Ocean since the Fukushima disaster first began.

#28 According to a professor at Tokyo University, 3 gigabecquerels of cesium-137 are flowing into the port at Fukushima Daiichi every single day.

#29 It is being projected that significant levels of cesium-137 will reach every corner of the Pacific Ocean by the year 2020

#30 It has been estimated that the entire Pacific Ocean will soon "have cesium levels 5 to 10 times higher" than what we witnessed during the era of heavy atomic bomb testing in the Pacific many decades ago.

#31 The immense amount of radioactive material being released into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima has caused environmental activist Joe Martino to issue the following warning...

"Your days of eating Pacific Ocean fish are over."

#32 The Iodine-131, Cesium-137 and Strontium-90 that are constantly being released from Fukushima are going to affect the health of those living in the northern hemisphere for a very, very long time.  Just consider what Harvey Wasserman had to say about this...

Iodine-131, for example, can be ingested into the thyroid, where it emits beta particles (electrons) that damage tissue. A plague of damaged thyroids has already been reported among as many as 40 percent of the children in the Fukushima area. That percentage can only go higher. In developing youngsters, it can stunt both physical and mental growth. Among adults it causes a very wide range of ancillary ailments, including cancer.

Cesium-137 from Fukushima has been found in fish caught as far away as California. It spreads throughout the body, but tends to accumulate in the muscles.

Strontium-90's half-life is around 29 years. It mimics calcium and goes to our bones.

#33 Outdoor radiation levels at Fukushima recently hit a new all-time high.

#34 According to the Wall Street Journal, it is being projected that the cleanup of Fukushima could take up to 40 years to complete.

#35 Yale Professor Charles Perrow is warning that if the cleanup of Fukushima is not handled with 100% precision that humanity could be threatened "for thousands of years"...

"Conditions in the unit 4 pool, 100 feet from the ground, are perilous, and if any two of the rods touch it could cause a nuclear reaction that would be uncontrollable. The radiation emitted from all these rods, if they are not continually cool and kept separate, would require the evacuation of surrounding areas including Tokyo. Because of the radiation at the site the 6,375 rods in the common storage pool could not be continuously cooled; they would fission and all of humanity will be threatened, for thousands of years."

#36 There are very alarming reports that new "unexplained plumes of radioactive steam" are rising at Fukushima.  Japanese officials are not able to get inside and see what is causing these plumes.  Some are speculating that the crisis at Fukushima just got a whole lot worse.  The following is from a recent Ecologist article...

Unexplained plumes of radioactive steam have been rising from Fukushima's Reactor Building 3, Could a major meltdown be on the way?

Fukushima's Reactor Building 3 exploded on 13th March 2011 as a result of a hydrogen buildup, breaching the building's containment and emitting a huge plume of radiation. The reactor itself is in meltdown.

And now fresh plumes of steam have been seen coming out the structure. These have now been confirmed by Tepco, the owner of the nuclear plant, from 19th December onwards. The company believes the steam is coming from the fifth floor of the building.

However it does not know the cause of the steam. Lethal levels of radiation and the physical damage to the structure have so far made entry and inspection impossible.
If a full-blown meltdown does happen at Fukushima, it would be an environmental disaster unlike anything that we have ever seen before in human history.

As we enter 2014, we are entering a time when the world is becoming increasingly unstable.  The global economy is being shaken, political corruption is seemingly everywhere, evidence of advanced social decay is all around us and the earth itself is starting to groan and crack with increasingly regularity.  But the mainstream media continues to insist that everything is going to be just fine.  That is one of the reasons why I wrote my new novel.  The American people deserve to hear the truth and be warned about the great challenges that are rapidly approaching.

In the end, millions upon millions of people could end up getting seriously ill as a result of all of this radiation coming from Fukushima.  Most of them will never even know why they have gotten sick.

And if there is a major earthquake or a significant accident during the cleanup at Fukushima, we could actually see huge sections of Japan be evacuated permanently.

It would be hard to overstate just how serious all of this is.  But you won't hear about this from the mainstream media.  Their story is that "everything is okay" and they are sticking to it.

22 Facts About The Coming Demographic Tsunami That
Could Destroy Our Economy All By Itself
By Michael Snyder, on February 10th, 2014

Today, more than 10,000 Baby Boomers will retire.  This is going to happen day after day, month after month, year after year until 2030.  It is the greatest demographic tsunami in the history of the United States, and we are woefully unprepared for it.

We have made financial promises to the Baby Boomers worth tens of trillions of dollars that we simply are not going to be able to keep.  Even if we didn't have all of the other massive economic problems that we are currently dealing with, this retirement crisis would be enough to destroy our economy all by itself.  During the first half of this century, the number of senior citizens in the United States is being projected to more than double.  As a nation, we are already drowning in debt.  So where in the world are we going to get the money to take care of all of these elderly people?

The Baby Boomer generation is so massive that it has fundamentally changed America with each stage that it has gone through.  When the Baby Boomers were young, sales of diapers and toys absolutely skyrocketed.  When they became young adults, they pioneered social changes that permanently altered our society.  Much of the time, these changes were for the worse.

According to the New York Post, overall household spending peaks when we reach the age of 46.  And guess what year the peak of the Baby Boom generation reached that age?...

People tend, for instance, to buy houses at about the same age — age 31 or so. Around age 53 is when people tend to buy their luxury cars — after the kids have finished college, before old age sets in. Demographics can even tell us when your household spending on potato chips is likely to peak — when the head of it is about 42.

Ultimately the size of the US economy is simply the total of what we're all spending. Overall household spending hits a high when we're about 46. So the peak of the Baby Boom (1961) plus 46 suggests that a high point in the US economy should be about 2007, with a long, slow decline to follow for years to come.
And according to that same article, the Congressional Budget Office is also projecting that an aging population will lead to diminished economic growth in the years ahead...

Lost in the discussion of this week's Congressional Budget Office report (which said 2.5 million fewer Americans would be working because of Obamacare) was its prediction that aging will be a major drag on growth: "Beyond 2017," said the report, "CBO expects that economic growth will diminish to a pace that is well below the average seen over the past several decades [due in large part to] slower growth in the labor force because of the aging of the population."
So we have a problem.  Our population is rapidly aging, and an immense amount of economic resources is going to be required to care for them all.

Unfortunately, this is happening at a time when our economy is steadily declining.

The following are some of the hard numbers about the demographic tsunami which is now beginning to overtake us...

1. Right now, there are somewhere around 40 million senior citizens in the United States.  By 2050 that number is projected to skyrocket to 89 million.

2. According to the Employee Benefit Research Institute, 46 percent of all American workers have less than $10,000 saved for retirement, and 29 percent of all American workers have less than $1,000 saved for retirement.

3. One poll discovered that 26 percent of all Americans in the 46 to 64-year-old age bracket have no personal savings whatsoever.

4. According to a survey conducted by the Employee Benefit Research Institute, "60 percent of American workers said the total value of their savings and investments is less than $25,000".

5. 67 percent of all American workers believe that they "are a little or a lot behind schedule on saving for retirement".

6. A study conducted by Boston College's Center for Retirement Research found that American workers are $6.6 trillion short of what they need to retire comfortably.

7. Back in 1991, half of all American workers planned to retire before they reached the age of 65.  Today, that number has declined to 23 percent.

8. According to one recent survey, 70 percent of all American workers expect to continue working once they are "retired".

9. A poll conducted by CESI Debt Solutions found that 56 percent of American retirees still had outstanding debts when they retired.

10. A study by a law professor at the University of Michigan found that Americans that are 55 years of age or older now account for 20 percent of all bankruptcies in the United States.  Back in 2001, they only accounted for 12 percent of all bankruptcies.

11. Today, only 10 percent of private companies in the U.S. provide guaranteed lifelong pensions for their employees.

12. According to Northwestern University Professor John Rauh, the total amount of unfunded pension and healthcare obligations for retirees that state and local governments across the United States have accumulated is 4.4 trillion dollars.

13. Right now, the American people spend approximately 2.8 trillion dollars on health care, and it is being projected that due to our aging population health care spending will rise to an astounding 4.5 trillion dollars in 2019.

14. Incredibly, the United States spends more on health care than China, Japan, Germany, France, the U.K., Italy, Canada, Brazil, Spain and Australia combined.

15. If the U.S. health care system was a country, it would be the 6th largest economy on the entire planet.

16. When Medicare was first established, we were told that it would cost about $12 billion a year by the time 1990 rolled around.  Instead, the federal government ended up spending $110 billion on the program in 1990, and the federal government spent approximately $600 billion on the program in 2013.

17. It is being projected that the number of Americans on Medicare will grow from 50.7 million in 2012 to 73.2 million in 2025.

18. At this point, Medicare is facing unfunded liabilities of more than 38 trillion dollars over the next 75 years.  That comes to approximately $328,404 for every single household in the United States.

19. In 1945, there were 42 workers for every retiree receiving Social Security benefits.  Today, that number has fallen to 2.5 workers, and if you eliminate all government workers, that leaves only 1.6 private sector workers for every retiree receiving Social Security benefits.

20. Right now, there are approximately 63 million Americans collecting Social Security benefits.  By 2035, that number is projected to soar to an astounding 91 million.

21. Overall, the Social Security system is facing a 134 trillion dollar shortfall over the next 75 years.

22. The U.S. government is facing a total of 222 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities during the years ahead.  Social Security and Medicare make up the bulk of that.

So where are we going to get the money?

That is a very good question.

The generations following the Baby Boomers are going to have to try to figure out a way to navigate this crisis.  The bright future that they were supposed to have has been destroyed by our foolishness and our reckless accumulation of debt.

But do they actually deserve a "bright future"?  Perhaps they deserve to spend their years slaving away to support previous generations during their golden years.  Young people today tend to be extremely greedy, self-centered and lacking in compassion.  They start blogs with titles such as "Selfies With Homeless People".  Here is one example from that blog...

Of course not all young people are like that.  Some are shining examples of what young Americans should be.

Unfortunately, those that are on the right path are a relatively small minority.

In the end, it is our choices that define us, and ultimately America may get exactly what it deserves.

5 Ways Liberals Make War on Women
by John Hawkins | Feb 15, 2014

Having liberals claim that someone else is waging a "war on women" is like Anteaters claiming Ladybugs are making war on ants. Not only is the Left much more unfriendly to women than the Right, liberals are actually leaving a body count behind.

1) The Party of Infanticide: The liberals' whole "safe, legal and rare" abortion shtick has gone by the wayside and they've moved on to "Any reason's a good reason." Just this week, Iowa Democratic State Representative Beth Wessel-Kroeschell advocated aborting children to avoid "sleepless nights" and avoid "disciplinary challenges." Even the Aztecs weren't as zealous about sacrificing children as the modern Left has become and the carnage it's left in its wake is comparable to any of history's greatest monsters. More than 28 million female babies have been snuffed out since Roe v. Wade. That's 28 million women who will never get to pretend to be a princess, ask their mother for advice or fall in love and get married. All of those poor girls were slaughtered like cattle and disposed of like garbage because of the same people who claim Republicans are waging a "war on women."

2) Excusing Horrible Liberal Behavior Toward Women: Ted Kennedy left a woman to slowly die in a tidal pool while he went home to sober up and plan to get away with his crime. Liberals loved him. As we speak, Massachusetts Rep. Carlos Henrique is in jail for beating his girlfriend and the New England Area Conference of the NAACP is fighting to keep him from being expelled from the state legislature. Bill Clinton has not only cheated on his wife over and over, he was credibly accused of rape by Juanita Broaddrick. That has not given a single liberal pause. Roman Polanski is a liberal filmmaker who was convicted of raping a 13 year old girl and yet liberals defend him. What was it Whoopi Goldberg said? "I know it wasn't rape-rape. I think it was something else, but I don't believe it was rape-rape." The reason it wasn't "rape-rape" in her mind is because a prominent liberal man was involved. If everyone from MSNBC to the NAACP to NOW are willing to side with men who leave women to die, men who beat their girlfriends, and rapists over the women they victimize, what does that really tell you about liberals?

3) Demeaning Stay-At-Home Moms: Liberals insult, demean and degrade stay-at-home moms on a regular basis. How dare they treat women with contempt simply because they CHOOSE to stay home and take care of their children? For example, Democrat Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema has said, "These women who act like staying at home, leeching off their husbands or boyfriends, and just cashing the checks is some sort of feminism because they're choosing to live that life. That's bull****. I mean, what the f*** are we really talking about here?" Recently, liberal blogger Amy Glass at Thought Catalog wrote a whole article mocking stay-at-home moms called, "I look down on young women with husbands and kids and I'm not sorry." Even in the last election, when Democrats were pushing the "war on women" meme, Democrat strategist Hillary Rosen slammed Ann Romney for being a stay-at-home mom while Barack Obama himself has said staying at home to raise children isn't real "work." Conservatives support women, whether they want to work or stay at home. Liberals don't -- and their utter contempt for stay-at-home moms is just as disgusting as it is revealing.

4) Savage Attacks On Conservative Women: If only liberals hated Al-Qaeda with the same burning passion "that they feel towards well known conservative women," the world would be a better place. Just listen to the comments they make about strong, conservative women like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin. They've attacked Sarah Palin's children and Bachmann's husband, called Coulter a transvestite and used racial slurs against Malkin. They've done hate **** lists, demeaning articles on who Christine O'Donnell may have made out with at a Halloween party, Malkin had to move because she had so many threats, well known liberal writers spent YEARS claiming Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy with her son Trig -- it's just a bottomless well of outright hatred and misogyny. The worst day Hillary Clinton or Sandra Fluke has ever had is like an average Tuesday for one of these women.

5) Helping criminals By Disarming Women: At least a 200 pound man has a puncher's chance against a criminal who wants to hurt him, but a 120 pound woman is nothing but a victim in the same situation. For a woman, having a gun may be the difference between staying in control or being at a thug's mercy, between getting a good scare and getting raped, between seeing her child again and being left dead in a ditch. Yet, liberals believe that a woman trapped in a dark alley by some Ted Bundy wannabe carrying a scalpel, handcuffs, and a noose should be stripped of her ability to defend herself. Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe Salazar actually suggested that women can't be trusted with guns "because you just don't know who you're gonna be shooting at. And you don't know if you feel like you're gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone's been following you around or if you feel like you're in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop ... pop around at somebody." The University of Colorado even went so far as to suggest to women that "vomiting or urinating may also convince the attacker to leave you alone." The best friends the stalker, violent ex-boyfriend, and rapist have are pro-gun-control liberals who are hell-bent on making sure women can't defend themselves.

University Of Arizona To Hold "Condom Olympics"

Via IJR:
http://www.ijreview.com/2014/02/115262-meanwhile-university-arizona-plans-condom-olympics/

This just in from the "You Can't Make This Stuff Up" department: Students at the University of Arizona have been assigned to plan a school-wide "Condom Olympics" for their "Sex, Health, and AIDS" class.

The objective of the class is to "explore this social and disease phenomenon from a number of perspectives."

According to The Daily Wildcat, the official UA student newspaper, students planned "athletic events" such as a condom-wrapped egg toss, condom art, and a condom scavenger hunt. (Far be it from me to suggest that "athletic events" involving condoms connotes an entirely different image.)

The purpose of the Condom Olympics, according to UA Professor William Simmons?

"Hopefully this will get students comfortable knowing what condoms are."

Memo to Professor Simmons: With all due respect, professor, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that COLLEGE STUDENTS already know what condoms are. Just sayin'.

Anyway, UofA's Campus Health Service is hosting its annual "Sexual Health Resource Fair," where students can learn about sexual health resources on campus and in the community. Students can also have their photo taken with "Mr. Condom," a 6-foot-tall condom that will be handing out free condoms on the University of Arizona Mall during the fair. (I wonder if he gives autographs?)

And, hey, what proud parent wouldn't want his, or her, daughter (or son) to post a picture on Facebook — smiling and standing next to Mr. Condom?

Incidentally, Professor Simmons says he doesn't like term papers or exams and prefers "action learning assignments." Where was this guy when I was in college?

Survey: 1 in 4 Americans Don't Know Earth Revolves Around The Sun

(And you wonder how we get the mindless Obamabot, product of the public schools)

Via AFP:

Americans are enthusiastic about the promise of science but lack basic knowledge of it, with one in four unaware that the Earth revolves around the Sun, said a poll out Friday.

The survey included more than 2,200 people in the United States and was conducted by the National Science Foundation.

Ten questions about physical and biological science were on the quiz, and the average score — 6.5 correct — was barely a passing grade.

Just 74 percent of respondents knew that the Earth revolved around the Sun, according to the results released at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Chicago.

Fewer than half (48 percent) knew that human beings evolved from earlier species of animals.

The result of the survey, which is conducted every two years, will be included in a National Science Foundation report to President Barack Obama and US lawmakers.

One in three respondents said science should get more funding from the government.

Nearly 90 percent said the benefits of science outweigh any dangers, and about the same number expressed interest in learning about medical discoveries.

Obuma's Executive Order Raising Minimum Wage For Employees of Federal
Contractors Unconstitutional According To Supreme Court

(He's more interested about his Duck Study than what the Supreme Court or Constitution says about anything...):

Via NRO:

The president issued an executive order last week purporting to raise the minimum wage for employees of federal contractors to $10.10 an hour. The order is unconstitutional.

The Supreme Court made clear in Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. v. Sawyer that "the President's power, if any, to issue the [executive] order must stem either from an act of Congress or from the Constitution itself." Furthermore, "when the president takes measures incompatible with the expressed or implied will of Congress, his power is at its lowest ebb, for then he can rely only upon his own constitutional powers minus any constitutional powers of Congress over the matter."

Nothing in the Constitution grants the president authority to set or raise the minimum wage independently of an act of Congress. Furthermore, although the president generally has authority to improve the efficient discharge of federal contracts, the president's minimum-wage order is incompatible with the expressed and implied will of Congress.

Congress has made its will regarding the minimum wage for federal contractors abundantly clear in four separate statutes: The Service Contract Act, the Davis Bacon Act, the Walsh-Healey Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Under those statutes, the minimum wage for many, if not most, employees of federal contractors is the prevailing minimum wage for employees in the specific job classification in the locality where the work is to be performed. For the remaining classifications of employees for whom no prevailing minimum wage exists, the minimum wage is slotted into the minimum for similar jobs, or is governed by the minimum set by Congress in the Fair Labor Standards Act, i.e., $7.25.

UConn Football Coach Resigns After Saying Jesus Should Be
"In The Center of Our Huddle"

(Only in the liberal northeast would this comment spark outrage)

Via The Blaze:
A newly hired assistant football coach has resigned his position at the University of Connecticut one month after igniting controversy with a comment he made about keeping Jesus Christ at the center of his team's huddle.

The university confirmed coach Ernest Jones' departure in a statement to TheBlaze Monday, but declined to give a reason for the decision. Jones only started at the university in January.

"University of Connecticut assistant football coach Ernest T. Jones has resigned his position at UConn effective immediately," the statement said. "The University or the Division of Athletics will have no further comment on the matter as it is personnel related."

As WFSB-TV reported, Jones made headlines after saying that it was important for players to understand that "Jesus Christ should be in the center of our huddle." His comments were made during an interview with The Hartford Courant newspaper.

Jones' comments prompted university president Susan Herbst to issue a statement to the Courant, saying staff members at the public university must not take sides on the theological front.

"It should go without saying that our employees cannot appear to endorse or advocate for a particular religion or spiritual philosophy as part of their work at the university, or in their interactions with our students," she said. "This applies to work-related activity anywhere on or off campus, including on the football field."
