POS Obuma to Sign UN Gun Treaty This Month – Will Lead to National Registry]

(This is a very bold move... could this be Obuma's death wish?  Politicians have died for alot less)

Joseph Stalin's firearms confiscation was a tremendous success for the Socialist state.

Under the Tsar, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. That all changed when Stalin and the communists took control.  Stalin was able to control, starve, punish and imprison a defenseless people... after he took their guns. (Zinnfigur)

But before Stalin could confiscate the guns he needed a national gun registry.

In April the United Nations passed sweeping legislation that will regulate the international arms trade and could lead to a national registry in the United States.

Barack Obama is reportedly going to sign the treaty this month while Congress is on vacation.
Ammoland reported:

You heard it straight from the horse's mouth. Jay Carney said Obama will sign the UN Arms Trade Treaty "before the end of August...We believe it's in the interest of the United States."
This is very strategic timing considering Congress is on a 5 week vacation lasting thru the month of August!

These back door tactics are nothing new for the Obama Administration, which is why we are using tactics of our own to stop his anti-gun agenda. We have the home fax numbers of every Senator so while they are absent from the Capitol we can demand they must not ratify the UN Gun Treaty once Obama signs it.

We CAN stop this international treaty from reaching American soil by killing it the United States Senate. The U.S Senate must ratify an international treaty for it to be effective. They would need 67 votes to ratify the treaty. Reach every U.S. Senator at their home office; tell them you do not want this treaty in OUR United States!

Select Here To Fax The U.S. Senate At Their Home Offices:

Demand They KEEP THEIR TREATY AWAY FROM OUR GUNS -

DO NOT Ratify The UN 'Arms Trade Treaty'!

Everything Obama tackles in office is strategically timed and politically motivated. He only looks out for himself, his fellow liberals, and his anti-gun agenda. After mass shootings the Administration would launch all-out attacks on our gun rights since the country would be more susceptible to change after a traumatic event. He made sure the Benghazi cover up was swept under the rug until he got re-elected. He will wait to attack certain issues until the 2014 Congressional elections so he'll know how many liberals are by his side.

Obama believes now is the best time to sign the UN Gun Treaty since Congress is out of Washington. He will have less scrutiny to worry about if Congress is not nearby.

In a January 4, 2013 Justice Department document, Summary of Select Firearm Violence Prevention Strategies, the Obama Administration admitted that an assault weapons ban would not be effective without confiscation and gun registration.

It should be clear by now that this administration has little to no regard for the we Americans and the  Second Amendment of the US Constitution.

NOAA Confirms Model-Defying Global Temperature Stagnation...
2012 Was Among Coolest In 21st Century

By P Gosselin on 7. August 2013

The political beauty about climate data is that it can be easily manipulated in order to fool the public.

The National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recently released its State of the Climate in 2012: Highlights. To no one's surprise, the report gives the reader the impression that warming is galloping ahead out of control. But their data show just the opposite.

(Goes to show the corruption of government in anything it touches)

The NOAA says 2012 was the 8th or 9th warmest on record, but fails to mention it was one of the coolest of the decade, and thus confirms the cooling trend. (Above sequence estimated using the chart. Trend line is only approximate). Also see: woodfortrees.org from:1998.

When one carefully reads the report, we find that the NOAA findings actually do confirm precisely what the skeptics have been claiming all along:

1. The Earth has stopped warming.
2. The climate models exaggerated future warming. CO2 climate sensitivity is much lower than we first thought.

That's the real issue at hand.

On global temperatures, the NOAA report itself states (my emphasis): "Four major independent datasets show 2012 was among the 10 warmest years on record, ranking either 8th or 9th, depending upon the dataset used.

2012 one of the coldest this decade

But if 2012 is only the 8th or 9th warmest and we are told again and again that almost all the warmest years occurred since 2000, then it can only mean that 2012 was one of the coolest so far this century.

And indeed the above NOAA chart confirms just that. Moreover, the stagnation of the last 15 years defies all computer model projections, thus confirming that the models all exaggerated CO2 climate sensitivity. In order for the models to be correct, the global temperature over the last 6 years would have to be 0.2 to 0.3°F warmer.

We suppose that the NOAA and NASA will soon be going to work readjusting the 1998 to 2005 data downwards to get the curve shape they need. Such dubious (and perhaps criminal) manipulation of data has long since become NASA's "scientific" approach over the recent years. It kind of reminds us of the days when Stalin tried to change history by cutting and pasting photos.

Gun Control Failure Continues:
Six People Shot in One Hour in Chicago Yesterday

(Ah yes... ObumaTown)

The strictest gun control laws of any city in the nation aren't doing much to keep Chicago's gun death toll and injury numbers from being among the highest in America.

Just yesterday, six people were shot in the span of one hour in the Windy City. Sadly, this isn't a rare occurrence in gun-law-manic Chicago.

Last week, at least eight people were shot during a four-hour period of citywide shootings. Four men were killed and at least 31 other people — including a 4-year-old girl — were injured in gun violence across Chicago since last Friday night.

More gun control does not work. Ask the armed bad guys.

From Chicago Tribune, Officials: 6 shot in one hour citywide:
At least seven people were shot across the city Monday night, including six shot within an hour, officials said.

About 6:15 p.m., someone shot a 21-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman in the 1300 block of West Washburn Avenue in the city's University Village neighborhood, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Joshua Purkiss said.

The woman suffered a graze wound to the head and was taken in good condition to the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said. The 21-year-old man was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Langford said.

In a separate shooting at 6:12 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Loomis Street, a 23-year-old man was shot and critically wounded, said Langford. The man was also taken in critical condition to Stroger. Police said the shots may have come from a passing vehicle.

Analysis from Big Government...

CHICAGO: SIX PEOPLE SHOT IN ONE HOUR:

The City of Chicago is still racking up distressing numbers of shootings even as crime otherwise in the Windy City has gone down. On August 12, for instance, six people were shot in the space of only one hour.

On that Monday, between the 6:15 PM and 7:13 PM, six people were shot, one of them a 13-year-old boy.

At 6:12, police reported that a 23-year-old man was shot and critically wounded. At 6:15 a 21-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were shot in the same incident. Then at 6:20 a young man, 17, shot himself in the groin by accident. Next a 13-year-old boy was shot at 6:47. And by 7:13 sixth person was shot.

This came only a day after a weekend where 4 were killed and 22 hurt in shootings in Chicago.

Those numbers are slight compared to the shootings over the Fourth of July holiday weekend this year where a staggering 72 shootings occurred, with as many as a dozen ending up dead. Among those shot were two small boys, one a 5-year-old and the other a 7-year-old.

You wouldn't know it from these statistics, but Chicago has actually experienced a drop in crime rates–including murder–so imagine how bad it was before. In 2012, for instance, there were a total of 516 murders and 11,866 gun related crimes in the city. This year that number will be smaller with 200 some murders thus far as the year winds down.

From Policymic, Gun Control is Why Chicago Murder Rates Are Skyrocketing:

Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. Illinois remains the only state in the country where nobody can legally carry a concealed weapon, and lawmakers recently introduced measures to restrict legal gun ownership even more. (Update: a US appeals court has struck down Illinois' concealed carry ban).

Gun control policies don't work because they disarm citizens while keeping criminals in possession of guns. Chicago's strict policies have effectively given lawbreakers a monopoly on weapons in many parts of the city that the Chicago Police Department cannot or will not police effectively.

A nice contrast to Chicago for a natural experiment is Houston. Houston is very similar to Chicago in terms of socioeconomic factors such as population, density, and segregation. Houston, like Chicago, is a major center for illegal activities such as the drug trade and human trafficking. Despite all this, Houston has a murder rate two-thirds that of Chicago. This is because the people of Houston are well armed, while innocents in Chicago have been condemned to be sitting ducks.

Chicago has a geographical divide, with most affluent people who reside on the north side of the city surrounding the CTA's Red and Brown lines refusing to cross into the crime-ridden neighborhoods on the south and west sides. In 2010, Chicago native and rapper Lupe Fiasco agreed with Bill O'Reilly's controversial statement that certain parts of the city more closely resemble Haiti than the rest of the city.

Proponents of gun control have their heart in the right place. They would like to see fewer people murdered. I'm pretty sure everybody can agree that fewer dead people is a laudable policy goal. Unfortunately, gun control does not achieve this goal. After both the Sandy Hook shooting and the Aurora shooting, calls have come for "common sense" gun control, including a ban on semi-automatic rifles used in the senseless massacres. These weapons have been proven to protect property owners at their homes and business time and time again.

Only in America... the irony is if these retards ever got the government they seem to advocate, this type of "demonstration" would never be allowed. Wonder which presidential candidate these geniuses voted for...? LOL! Just kidding! Hope & Change turned into Hate & Blame the "rich." Classic.

Gnarly, Dude, It's an Obama Paradise...
Free-loading, Lobster-Eating San Diego Beach Bum
Living Off Food Stamps for Years

San Diego beach bum Jason Greenslate is rewarded with taxpayers' dollars to surf, drink, hang out with friends, and get 'free food' to which he says, 'It's awesome'

(Yeah, Man... Life is grand... I gotta get me some of those Government Issued Food Stamps.  SNAP..ity, SNAP)

With hard-working American families struggling to keep their heads above water, be prepared to feel your blood pressure rise when watching this able-bodied, California clown blatantly abusing the American food stamp system. He's done it for years. Using his government-issued EBT card, surfer Jason Greenslate thinks it's "awesome" that he can get free food ("free," as in taxpayer-funded), such as pricey lobster and sushi, while choosing not to work. He parties with friends, surfs every day, aspires to be a rock star, and otherwise is a remorseless leech in society. Greenslate calls it "living the life, living the dream."

Parasitic, id-monster liberal, in the mold of surfer stoner Jeff Spicoli of the 1982 film "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." Ultra-leftist, pro-welfare Media Matters is fuming over this Fox News Special Report exposé, which likely just begins to uncover myriad abuses of SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

Granted, not all people who participate in SNAP or other welfare programs are as casual about free-loading as is Greenslate, but how many are just like him remains to be discovered. New York Post exposed last month that an untold number of New York food stamp recipients are illegally shipping welfare-funded groceries to relatives out of the country. EBT cards are being sold illegally on Facebook and other social media sites. Food stamp fraud was uncovered by an undercover team in March in Phoenix and in Florida, a fraud task force uncovered a higher percentage of food stamp fraud than was reported by the government. Last year, Baltimore's WMAR News reported that millions commit food stamp fraud every year and that customers can easily game the EBT system. In 2011, the Wall Street Journal wrote a lengthy piece on the rise of food stamp recipients and rise in fraud and abuse, stating, "The USDA's Food and Nutrition Service now has only 40 inspectors to oversee almost 200,000 merchants that accept food stamps nationwide. The Government Accountability Office reported last summer that retailers who traffic illegally in food stamps by redeeming stamps for cash or alcohol or other prohibited items 'are less likely to face criminal penalties or prosecution" than in earlier years'." Just three weeks ago, 23 people in Schenectady, New York were arrested for food stamp fraud — evidence indicates that they stole $500,000 from the food stamp program over a three-year period. The list goes on and on.

Add this California loser to the list. But thanks to changes and relaxed rules to the food stamp program made by Pres. Obama, Greenslate appears to be playing the system and "living the life" legally.

(He's watching you, Forum)

While Obama is enjoying his $25 Million dollar family summer vacation at Martha's Vineyard, criticism about his National Security Agency program is rising from both Democrats and Republicans. Rep. Michael McCaul said this weekend on "Meet the Press" that the president has failed to adequately explain or defend the invasion into Americans' privacy by the federal government.

McCaul said that Obama is trying clumsily to "salvage" the NSA surveillance program and is "in a bit of a mess because after the IRS scandal, where people don't trust this government with their tax records, they sure don't trust them with their phone records."

University of California Study: National Debt Is Really $70 Trillion

http://thenewamerican.com/usnews/congress/item/16264-university-of-california-study-the-national-debt-is-really-70-trillion

James Hamilton, an economics professor at the University of California, San Diego, just published his best estimate of the federal government's "off-balance-sheet" liabilities, in which he concludes that the real national debt, popularly estimated to be $16.9 trillion, is in fact more than four times larger: $70.086 trillion. This is because of decisions to leave out certain unfunded liabilities when the national debt is counted. He explains:

This paper examines the growth of federal liabilities that are not included in the officially reported numbers. These take the form of implicit or explicit government guarantees and commitments ... housing, other loan guarantees, deposit insurance, actions taken by the Federal Reserve, and government trust funds....

The biggest items in this category come from Social Security and Medicare which, if current policy is maintained, will require enormous sacrifices from future taxpayers.

He includes the implicit mortgage guarantees of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac: "With the federal government today being the sole owner of Fannie and Freddie, it seems appropriate to consider both the direct debt obligations ... as well as their outstanding mortgage guarantees [which are now treated] as an off-balance sheet liability." Added together, housing guarantees ($7.5 trillion), FDIC guarantees ($7.4 trillion), Social Security ($26.5 trillion), Medicare ($27.6 trillion), and other government trust fund liabilities ($1.8 trillion) come to $70 trillion. That's an increase of $13.5 trillion just since 2006, and is growing by more than $2 trillion a year.

When the Government Accounting Office (GAO) issued its own report on the government's finances back in January, it was 270 pages long and was filled with disclaimers about its estimates:

Certain material weaknesses in internal control over financial reporting and other limitations ... prevented GAO from expressing an opinion on the fiscal years 2011 and 2012....

Because of significant uncertainties ... GAO was unable to express opinions on [those years'] statements on Social insurance.

Nevertheless what they did uncover appeared on pages 46, 47, and 48, deep into the report: When adding up the unfunded liabilities of all "social insurance," the present value of future expenditures in excess of future expected revenue came to $38.5 trillion, more than twice what is publicly admitted.

When Rep. Jim Cooper (D-Tenn.) read the report, he said, "The federal government is the last accounting-free zone in America!" Two former congressmen, Christopher Cox and Bill Archer, were equally appalled: "The U.S. Treasury 'balance sheet' does ... not include the unfunded liabilities of Medicare, Social Security and other outsized and very real obligations."

There are two reasons that these huge liabilities are routinely ignored: how the accounting is done, and whether Social Security and Medicare are actually government guarantees or not. Sheila Weinberg, director of the Institute for Truth in Accounting (ITF), says the federal government's accounting system isn't allowed to be used by private companies because it is "so unreliable and possibly misleading" — cash accounting instead of accrual. The government includes Medicare and Social Security liabilities only as they come due, rather than using accrual accounting that counts the entire debt burden when the program is launched. So it neatly ignores future liabilities and makes the national debt appear to be much smaller.

The other reason is that the government itself doesn't consider Social Security or Medicare as guaranteed by the government. According to Hal Steinberg, a member of the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), which makes such determinations, Medicare and Social Security, along with veterans' benefits and government employee benefits, are not binding contractual commitments after all:

There is no exchange transaction here. When the FASAB board was looking at the best way to report this, the feeling was not to put this on the balance sheet as a liability [because] it really wasn't a liability.

In other words, these are promises that the government made but which the government can break at any time. And because there is no actual contract to break there is no accounting liability.

Besides, said Steinberg, if those liabilities were added to the nominal national debt, "the number would end up being so large that no one would be able to relate to it." As ITF's Weinberg said: "Politicians aren't stupid. They do these books on a cash basis because they don't want to increase the deficit but they want to get re-elected."

According to the ITF, the real national debt is, at the moment, $74.3 trillion, and counting.

Even that number may be too small to reflect accurately the promises made versus the revenues expected to fund them. Boston University professor Laurence Kotlikoff was interviewed in February and was asked by his host:

You're the one who stated that America is rogue and in even worse shape than Greece and Ireland. How so? What exactly do you mean by that?

Kotlikoff: We economists look at all the bills the government has to pay, and in the US case we have enormous bills that have been kept off the books....

Host: You said the amount of the fiscal gap in the United States is, in your estimation, $222 trillion. This is an astonishing number, which is like three times the world's GDP. This is more than what the world makes!

Kotlikoff: If you add all the spending obligations into the distant future and you compare them with all the taxes, and you include in the spending all the interest payments ... you have $222 trillion of present value....

This is why we are in worse shape that Greece....

Host: So are they intentionally hiding the enormity of it?

Kotlikoff: They're intentionally hiding this. They've been spending in our country [for] six decades, running a massive Ponzi scheme, taking from young people, giving to old people, and then telling the young people, "Don't worry, you'll get yours when you're old," promising pensions, promising healthcare benefits.

The study by Professor Hamilton from the University of California, San Diego, serves as a reminder that, as the debt ceiling draws ever closer, the discussion bound to take place will have little do with the reality of what the federal government actually owes. That discussion, expected to begin when Congress reconvenes after Labor Day, will be a sideshow, distracting attention from the real issue: The U.S. government is broke and its promises won't be kept.

Jackson faces up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to spending nearly $750,000 in campaign funds on items like mink coats and a Rolex. His wife Sandra, a former Chicago alderman, also will be sentenced on a related charge of failing to report about $600,000 in taxable income.

UPDATE:Only 12 months for stealing $750,000, and they don't have to pay the money back.  How's that for DIRTY politics!  I guess if you want to be crooked and beat the system, you have to be black.  Gee... was that racist?

Holder lied ? Aint no way---get outta here !! For real, he lied ?

DOJ, FBI admit they inflated claims about mortgage fraud crackdown last year
By Judson Berger

Published August 14, 2013
FoxNews.com
The Justice Department and FBI have quietly acknowledged they grossly overstated the scope of a mortgage fraud crackdown, which the administration heralded with much fanfare a few weeks before last year's presidential election.

According to a memo circulated by the FBI and a correction posted online by the Justice Department, the number of defendants, the number of victims and the size of the losses are, in reality, a fraction of what officials claimed last October.

Attorney General Eric Holder and other law enforcement officials claimed in early October that the initiative charged 530 criminal defendants on behalf of 73,000 victims who suffered over $1 billion in losses. The so-called Distressed Homeowner Initiative, which targeted fraud schemes against distressed homeowners, was highlighted in a press release and press conference at the time.

Holder, talking to the cameras on Oct. 9, called it "a groundbreaking, year-long mortgage fraud enforcement effort."

The real numbers, it turns out, were far smaller. The feds now admit that the number of criminal defendants charged was more like 107, not 530. The number of victims was 17,185 -- still a large number, but roughtly one fourth the size of the original headcount. And the losses totaled $95 million -- not $1 billion, as originally claimed.

The DOJ and FBI had long been dogged by claims that their numbers were inflated. Bloomberg has been reporting since October that the cases cited by Holder included charges filed during the George W. Bush administration.
