In an e-mail to supporters, First Lady [Mooch] Obama says she grew up in a family that didn't need help from the government, and that her husband is working to make Americans free from dependence on government once again. (Horsesh!t)

In her message sent yesterday from democratparty@democrats.org, Mrs. Obama says:

"When I was growing up, a family like mine -- living on my hard-working father's salary at the city water plant -- could build a solid life without much debt and without relying on any form of public assistance. Today, for too many families, that American promise is no longer within reach.

"Barack is working to fix that and he needs solid Democrats in Congress to help him."

However, her husband's administration is spending millions actively promoting dependence on government assistance in the form of things like food stamps and health care.

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) has written to USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack investigating the USDA's efforts to promote food stamp usage, focusing on a partnership with the Mexican government to promote food stamp usage among Mexican immigrants living in the United States:

"Your department provides a document on how to 'overcome the word "No" and rewarded a recruitment worker for overcoming people's 'mountain pride.' There is even a promotional guide suggesting those targeted for enrollment harm their communities by not accepting benefits."

Noted American terrorist and left-wing radical Bill Ayers is among the signatories of a letter calling on the United Nations to probe the closing of 49 Chicago elementary schools based on claims that it is causing massive human rights violations.

The "letter of allegation" is 24 pages long and contains 17 footnotes.

The Midwest Coalition for Human Rights sent the missive to the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland this week.

The Coalition is a network of over 50 organizations united to fight "serious human rights violations occurring in the United States."

In addition to Ayers, others signers of the letter include four people associated with Action Now, an Illinois community-organizing group that split off from ACORN just before it dissolved because of financial problems and scandals.

PHILADELPHIA — Stevie Wonder isn't the only one who wants to boycott Florida over its "stand your ground" law, which served as a backdrop in the recent not guilty verdict for George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Civil rights [Race-Baiting dummy] Rev. Jesse Jackson said Friday he also wanted a boycott of the state.

"We can boycott Florida, cut conventions in Florida, for its 'stand your ground' laws," said Jackson, speaking on a panel at the National Urban League's annual conference in Philadelphia. "If we can boycott South Africa and bring it down, we should boycott Florida and bring it down."

Jackson made the comments less than a week after Florida's governor, Rick Scott, said he wouldn't change the controversial law that allows people to use physical force in self-defense without a duty to retreat.

Benjamin Crump, the attorney for the Martin family, also spoke at the conference Friday, where he said that changing "stand your ground" was the way to "properly honor" the [drug-infested punks]legacy of Trayvon Martin.

Egypt Military: "Obama Out, Putin In",  "Bye Bye America"

Obama personally denied the Egyptian military F-16s that were supposed to be shipped as part of an aid package to Egypt. So the Egyptian military and people are indicating that if Obama wants to support the Muslim Brotherhood, they have other alternatives like Putin, who has shown he wouldn't support the Brotherhood.

The U.S. has for years been close to the military who were always anti-Muslim Brotherhood.

So despite Congressional objection, Obama is personally sinking any positive relationship with the one major-non Islamist element in Egypt.

Report: Associated Press Seeking Full List Of
Concealed Weapons Permit Holders In Montana

"We do not comment on ongoing reporting efforts."  Those were the words of Jim Clarke, the regional bureau chief for the Associated Press in Denver, when asked about the attempt by the AP in Montana to gain access to the full list of concealed weapons permit holders in Montana.

Other questions, including a simple confirmation that the AP in Montana did indeed make the request, were met with the same "we do not comment on ongoing reporting efforts" response from a clearly agitated Clarke.

Earlier this week, I first broke the news that the Associated Press in Montana had asked Attorney General Tim Fox for a complete list of concealed weapons permit holdiers in the state.

Montana Media Trackers also dug into the story, uncovering emails showing that the request came from Montana AP reporter Matt Gouras.  Media Tracker's' Ron Catlett reached out to the AP for comment and was met with the same no comment response that I got.  Here's more from Catlett's report:

According to e-mails from MDOJ obtained by Media Trackers Montana, Montana AP reporter Matt Gouras formally requested the information on March 18.

"We'd like all public information included on each permit holder, including, but not limited to: last name, first name, middle, street address, city,  employer, age or DOB, driver's license number, date of application," Gouras wrote in his request.

Media Trackers Montana reached out to Gouras, who said he "could not speak for the AP." Gouras directed any inquiries to the head of the Montana Associated Press, Matt Volz, who, in-turn, directed Media Trackers to regional bureau chief Jim Clarke.

In an interview after his speech Wednesday in Galesburg, Illinois, President Obama was asked if he consulted White House lawyers before unilaterally delaying the employer mandate in Obamacare. Since Congress, in the Affordable Care Act, specified that the mandate is go to into effect at the start of next year, reporters from the New York Times asked if the president investigated whether he had the legal authority to put it off without going through Congress.

Obama didn't exactly answer the question. But judging from what he said, his answer was: No, I didn't consult White House lawyers because I know a lot more about the Constitution than the Republicans who are complaining about it. And besides, they don't think I'm legitimately the president, anyway.
"People questioned your legal and constitutional authority to do that unilaterally — to delay the employer mandate," asked the Times' Jackie Calmes. "Did you consult with your lawyer?"

At that point, Obama explained that if Congress doesn't like what he's done, then lawmakers can try to do something about it. "I'm not concerned about their opinions," the president said. This iconic picture of firefighters raising the stars and stripes in the rubble of Ground Zero was nearly excluded from the 9/11 Memorial Museum — because it was "rah-rah" American, a new book says.

Michael Shulan, the museum's creative director, was among staffers who considered the Tom Franklin photograph too kitschy and "rah-rah America," according to "Battle for Ground Zero" (St. Martin's Press) by Elizabeth Greenspan, out next month.

"I really believe that the way America will look best, the way we can really do best, is to not be Americans so vigilantly and so vehemently," Shulan said.
