The reader comments following the article say as much as the article does.... there seems to be some substantial difference of opinion about Mr North's assessment.  Having not yet seen the movie, I'll reserve further evaluation.... of the film and of North's perspctive.

If the followers of Ron Paul will ever make any difference, they are going to have to spread out and burrow in. They are going to have to go back to their hometowns, get active in local politics, and spend the next 25 years or even 50 years figuring out how the local system runs, and then taking it over. This has to be a bottom-up transformation. There is no possibility of capturing power at the top of either party. To capture control of either party will require fringe people to go to the local county level and to spend at least a generation, and maybe two generations, building a political network that will enable them to control the terms of discourse at the top. They have to do an end run around Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. This will not be easy.

This is a movie of the journey of 40 Independents and Democrats who voted for Barack H. Obama in 2008 expecting positive hope and change in government for themselves and for America through the past 4-years.

After watching the Sean Hannity Special on this new movie, "The Hope and the Change" by the group Citizens United, a group of Independent and Democrat voters who voted for President Obama in 2008 that are now disillusioned and speaking out... and will not be voting for the Obama-Biden ticket in 2012, I feel there is hope.  The men who produced this film had to go to the Supreme Court to get permission because of McCain-Feingold.

This movie was shown at the Republican National Convention and will be released in selected theatres in battle ground states this  September and will then be aired on television.   It is a must see for every American and definitely for everyone who is going to vote on November 6, 2012.[/font][/size]
