Juana Flynn, 82, of Howard, Kansas, passed away at Greenwood County Hospice in Eureka. Kansas on Sunday, April 1, 2012.  Born October 7, 1929 in Protection, Kansas, she was the daughter of Ralph O. and Dona (Gordon) Mahannah.

She was raised in Wichita and Conway Springs and graduated from Conway Springs High School. As a young woman, Juana worked at the Forum Cafeteria in Wichita as a waitress.  She was married to Charles A. Lee, and to this union two children were born, Judy and Roger. The couple later divorced. She was then married to Joe Davidson and the couple had a daughter, Vicky, and divorced. She later married Wayne Jones and had another daughter, Melissa, and the couple later divorced.

Juana made a career taking care of her children and being a loving mother, homemaker and housewife. She was a country girl at heart. She loved the outdoors. She always had a vegetable garden and flower beds. She enjoyed fishing and reading. She also restored antiques and at one time had an antique shop, "Mini Shop Antiques Store" which she ran out of an old bus. She loved birds. She enjoyed bird watching and raised several varieties of birds including quail, guineas, pheasants, peacocks and cockatiels. She collected rocks from all over, as well as marbles. Juana will always be remembered for her bright blue eyes and her beautiful smile.

Her family includes her children, Judy Price-McCoy of Wichita, Kansas, Roger Lee of Lake Watana,  Vicky Davidson of Wichita, Kansas, and Melissa Jones of Wichita, Kansas; her brother,  Ralph Jr. Mahannah of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren,  Shane Bockelman, Shana Bockelman, Sarah Ewertz, Justin Ewertz, Brandon Lee and Jennifer Duke; and her great grandchildren: Chelsi, Emily,and Ashley Bockelman, Haleigh Blackmon, Savannah Bockelman, Alayna Lee, Jordan Carter, and Samuel and Mary Duke. Juana was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph O. Mahannah and Dona Swallow; her brother, Morris Mahannah; and her sisters, Helen Stoddard and Louetta Weaver.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Westside Freewill Baptist Church located at 3310 W. MacArthur in Wichita, Kansas. Private interment will take place at Argonia Cemetery in Argonia, Kansas. A visitation will be held at Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield, Kansas 67156 on Thursday evening, April 5, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M.  A memorial has been established to help defray funeral expenses.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
